We are located 12 minutes drive from Truro, a town of 12,500 people. Truro has all the amenities that you would expect from a small city. There is a sports center with a pool, skating rink, walking track, fitness center, and climbing wall. Victoria Park, approximately 400 acres, located near the center of town has an outdoor recreation pool, playground, waterfalls, and kilometers of walking and biking trails. The town has lots of shops for you to spend leisurely days shopping and checking out some of the local cuisine. If golf is your thing, there are four golf courses within 30 minutes drive of our home, and when the golf bug strikes you can easily find a tee time at one of the courses. Perhaps a truly unique adventure is for you - there are daily guided tidal bore rafting trips where you can hop on a zodiac and ride the tidal bore as it makes its way up one of the local rivers. If you like beaches and warm waters, the Northumberland Straight is less than an hours drive away. Here there are countless beaches boasting the warmest waters north of the Carolinas. You could head in the other direction and find Lawrencetown Beach which is a mecca for surfing in the North East, but the water there is much cooler. Halifax is an hours drive away where you can take in the history and culture of this beautiful port city. Truro is aptly called "The Hub of Nova Scotia" because you can easily travel anywhere in Nova Scotia from here.
