Full of American History: Our home was built in 1778, and holds the history of Stafford Springs' earlier years.
From the wide plank floors, along with hand carved molding and chair rails, to the barreled ceilings and mullion window. The history of the place is still evident today.
Our home can accommodate a variety of numbers of people depending on the flexibility of our guests.
We are happy to host you as a guest in our Bed and Breakfast or do a complete swap though the dates will be limited by the school schedules of my children.

Stafford Springs, Connecticut, was known for its mineral waters and rolling landscapes. In the early years it drew presidents, generals and politicians from all over the country, to bath in our these healing waters known by the Native Americans. Stafford Springs is known as the first resort in America.
We offer a beautiful lake at one end of our street and Heritage Park at the other. A short drive or walk down one of the two dirt roads that flank our home you can escape into 200+ acres of wildlife refuge, Mountain Laurel Park and two of the CT State Forest Preserves with marked hiking trails and picnic sights.
Stroll through our old town and experience the ease and simplicity of our quaint downtown. Buy tickets to the Palace Theatre a turn of the century Vaudeville theater recently renovated and consistently hosting a variety of performers.
Old Sturbridge Village, a living history museum, is only 25 minutes away, and can be an all day event if you want to immerse yourself into an 1830's village. Eat at a traditional New England tavern and enjoy the many local antique shops. If you come in May, July or September we are only 15 minutes to the tents of the famed Brimfield Antiques and Collectibles Show!

Stafford is a quiet little place with all the makings of New England at it's best! We have little antique shops, country stores, a wonderful Historical Society, and the best of PURE country settings all while being an hour from Boston and two and half hours from New York City.
