Lo que te va a encantar en esta casa

Building: Housed in a 41-storey building called The Establishment, this studio unit is on the 28th floor facing South-East and is well-connected to KL Sentral, the transport hub of KL, via a covered, direct linked bridge to the Bangsar LRT station. The top 5 floors are reserved for Alila Bangsar, part of the Alila group, the managers of international boutique luxury hotels and resorts, one of the top 40 luxury hotel brands. You will be welcomed into the elegant ground lobby with tranquil water features and plush seating areas to receive visitors. A residents-only access door separates the lobby from the bank of residential lifts. On Level 9, amidst green foliage, with panoramic views overlooking the distant sky scrapers that make up cosmopolitan KL, you will find the common residential amenities befitting a 5-star environment – whirlpool, steam room, reading room, function room, sun deck. The shared amenities with the Alila Bangsar hotel are the spa, gym and yoga room facilities. Studio: The 1.5 storey 468 sq ft (44 sq m) studio is fully furnished with love and care and is ready for you to enjoy as you would your own home. The apartment has fully equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishes, cutlery, pots & pans, coffee maker, and of course, a high-table where you can enjoy it all! An additional 130 sq ft (12 sq m) bedroom is above the kitchenette and is accessible by stairs. A note of caution - the ceiling height in the bedroom may not allow someone taller than 5'6" (167cm) to stand upright. This may not be a deal breaker as only the bedroom is in this mezzanine floor - this is the 0.5 of the 1.5 storey studio. This sleeps 2 persons. The floor to ceiling height is 13 feet (4m) elsewhere in the rest of the studio (kitchenette, living area, etc). A sofa bed is available to accommodate another 2 persons in the living area. Neighbourhood: Brickfields, now also fondly called Little India, is a contrast of the rustic colonial infrastructure housing spice shops and your friendly neighbourhood grocers selling the daily staples, street vendors selling knick-knacks amidst the still-developing sky scrapers that now make up the heart of corporate KL. The night market right outside the building is on Friday evenings from 3pm-11pm where you could buy local fruits and veg. On the other side of the LRT (train station) is also easy access to Bangsar, close to restaurants, cafes and bars. Great spot for nighttime entertainment. An affluent residential suburb. The Sunday night market here caters for the expats. Within walking distance also are the massive malls - Mid Valley (http://www.midvalley.com.my/) and Gardens Mall (http://thegardensmall.com.my/). Beyond being a nice reprieve from the mid-day heat, there are also cinemas, spas, restaurants and shops galore! This is my brand new second home as of Jan 2018 , so am open to non-simultaneous exchange requests. My primary home is about 10kms away in the suburbs.

Lo que te va a encantar del barrio

You'd be located in the heart of the KL City and this makes a good central location from where you could then explore the rest of what Malaysia has to offer. Malaysia has it all - forests, mountains, beaches, diving/snorkelling, the shopping and night life that comes with the cities. And not to forget food, glorious food! Being a multi-racial community, you get to savour the Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisines and see most of Asia in just one destination. It is a great stop if you are venturing through South East Asia or are on your stop on the way to Australia/New Zealand. Here are some sites you wouldn't want to miss in KL itself: 1) Petronas Twin Towers - formerly the world's tallest twin towers 2) MidValley Megamall - South East Asia's largest shopping mall 3) Batu Caves - climb 272 steps to reach the caves where there is a Hindu temple in the limestone hills 4) Blue Mosque (Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque) - the largest mosque in South East Asia 5) night markets that the locals go to to buy local fruits/vegetarians. all year round fuits: Papayas, mangoes, cikus, pomegranates; Seasonal fruits:durians, pomeloes, mangosteens ... come try these mouth-watering fruits! Enjoy spice shopping where you can get excellent quality black pepper, chilly powder, coriander powder, etc for excellent prices. 6) Chinatown - buy the not-so-authentic Guccis, Rolex watches as presents! 7) Hawker stalls - food, glorious food - Indian, Chinese, Malay ... you can have it all. I always say that you'd need to stay for a whole year to experience a small part of what Malaysia has to offer! 8) Little India - buy ethnic Indian clothes - sarees, salwar khameez, costume jewellery - silver bangles, etc. You can also buy good quality 24k gold with wonderful workmanship 9) Sunway lagoon - consists of 3 theme parks - "Wild Wild West, World of Adventure and Waters of Africa". Fantastic rides and attractions 10) Genting Highlands - a one-day trip from KL up in the highlands where you can gamble away your money or if you prefer the outdoors, you could go to Cameron Highlands - trekking, tea plantations, cooler weather (20C) If you've done the above, then the next set of local activities that you could do: 1) Ayurvedic spa/Hammam/Thai massages 2) Attend cooking courses 3) Venture out to the Elephant Sanctuary in Pahang - a day trip. 4) Visit the Royal Selangor Visitor's Centre to see how pewter-ware is made in the factory and try your hand at making one! 5) Read/buy books at the various second hand bookstores or at Kinokuniya in KLCC. 6) Grab a drink during sunset at the Sky Bar at the Trader's Hotel 7) and more .. if I'm available, I might volunteer to come along too, if you like, for the added local flavor. After all, what's the point of an exchange, if there is no local contact! Air Asia, a budget airlines for South East Asia, has a hub in KL. http://www.airasia.com. Take low cost flights from KL to explore other cities in Malaysia or South East Asia.
