Lo que te va a encantar en esta casa

We created this home, especially for ourselves and our guests as a place we always wanted to stay in. It is a design apartment with a secluded backyard in Budapest's most prestigious area, in the very center of Buda side, at the feet of the medieval Castle Hill - the unique part of the city. The apartment itself is located in a Bauhaus building, on the ground floor. That’s why it has a garden connection through the full window wall: it is very pleasant to sit inside but also outside, listen to the birds and hedgehogs, and breathe fresh air especially in the morning with a cup of coffee or in the evening, sipping some wine. The place is not that huge, but very airy and comfy. It is convenient for two people but up to five people can sleep here in two fully separated rooms. There are a separate bedroom for 2 people and a separable living room (by a huge 4-wings door) which serves as the second bedroom if needed with a foldable sofa - for maximum privacy during the night. The entrance to the bathroom is located in the hallway, where the dining place and the tiny kitchenette are located. We placed here vintage items, original contemporary paintings, old Hungarian songs, and country maps as wallpaper, and many interesting collectibles bought from antique- and flea markets from all over the world we traveled from Seoul to Stockholm. Expect a very personal and homey place.

Lo que te va a encantar del barrio

We live in the neighbourhood for over 30 years, so I really mean this is the very best part of my beloved city. It is a special blend within the city: a green residential area, a lively historical place (the entire area is an UNESCO-protected field), and an excellently located urban homestay. At the halfway of the President Residence and the main 24-hour traffic hub. (This is very important since Budapest has a very efficient, safe and cheap public transport system, 24 hours operating.) By the hub, there is a shopping area as well: a mall, many grocery shops and a farmers market. All are in less than 5 minutes walk, within 300 m distance. The Castle itself is the nr1 sight of the city, with the National Gallery and a medieval town and the Castle Buildings. The most beautiful walkway and breathtaking panoramic view of the city are also located just right above. We ourself often spend our evenings there too. You can reach the sparkling and noisy downtown in 10 minutes by subway or bus. The one-way street we settled in is very quiet. Our family home is located right the other side of the walls of the apartment, our second home (which is our adult son's own property, who is studying abroad) we provide you. That means, we are ready to help our guest and also - we are not away if anything may go wrong.

Since the apartment located next to our family home, our reputation is very important for us. We kindly ask our guest to follow our house rules we'll send you before we'll confirm a swap. Please respect our neighbour's tranquillity, do not partying here, and look after our place as your property would do. Obviously, we provide a clean place, with bedsheets and towels. You are requested to return it doing full cleaning as well. If you are not about that, we can organize a cleaning service for 30 Euros.
