Lo que te va a encantar en esta casa

Welcome to our home on a small island in Brittany, France: only a 45 minute boat ride from the city Lorient serviced by all major train lines. Only natural materials were used in the renovation: complete with a sun room and fireplace. All objects have a history and all paintings are a testament to the local Breton culture. Its a wonderful place to both hide away from civilisation or to spend a great holiday with the entire family. There is sleeping accommodations for couples and kids; a full kitchen and bath with all modern amenities. You have access to a small terrace, but really your backyard is the entire island full of amazing hikes, beaches and local discoveries. All produce growers are organic on the island, there is a nature preserve and the entire ecosystem is quite pristine. There is a wonderful market full of local artisans and growers, a local 1930s renovated movie theatre, an adventure park called Parcabout in a local pine forest, cliffs, lighthouses, prehistoric sites, geological marvels, a viking burial ground, a local museum, restaurants, live music and film festivals and lots of natural wine.

Lo que te va a encantar del barrio

Brittany and its people are counted as one of the six Celtic nations. Our traditional Breton stone house is located in a village 10 minute walk and 2 minute bike ride away from the town center: full of restaurants, shops and all the necessary and curious amenities. The island is full of beaches - sand and stone - one more different than the next. Groix has the largest convex beach in Europe and is geologically unique. A treasure of mineralogy, the island and its 17 villages boast a superb cultural and historic heritage. Port Tudy, a former tuna fishing port, still holds a vital link with the continent, as evidenced by the arrival of shipping, fishing and sail boats. Maison de Kerlard is part of the local museum in the next village - characteristic of a traditional island homestead, complete with a threshing floor and vegetable garden intended for potato cultivation, a one-room dwelling coated with aerial lime, a stable, and an attic. There are also the local washhouses and fountains to visit around the island that pay homage to numerous legends and beliefs, as well as the lighthouses of Pen Men and the Pointe des Chats. Last but not least are the many sacred sites, including churches and chapels, as well as various menhirs and dolmens from pagan times.
