Lo que te va a encantar en esta casa

The best thing is having the privacy of the house with full comfort, surrounded with greenery of the nature, including the woods and having many options for hiking. However, the location is still relatively a short drive from the capitol of Ljubljana and the Alpine Lake Bled, to mention two of the country's most desired destinations. The closest town of Škofja loka also has its charm, being one of the over 1000 years old city. Inside the house guests will love the open plan leaving room, dinner and a kitchen, with large windows bringing in the countryside around it. large balcony is leading further to the private backyard garden, which is sunny, but also protected with enough shade and refreshed by the forest breath at evenings. It also features large outdoor kitchen and BBQ. The house was newly built in 2011 and offers full comfort, with lots of wood in the interior, sauna, separate laundry-room and a gym, aside from other expected spaces. Kids also love the outdoors, as we have our private playground, including large sand-box and a climbing wall. We love to be hosts and have our guests equipped with the best tips for gastronomy, sights and activities.

The house is surrounded with nice nature, located in a valley, at feet of the popular Stari Vrh skiing slope, which offers family activity in any season. Like skiing rental and ski coaches in the winter or a family sport park in spring and summer, with agility and adrenaline park including a zip-line. There are two other a bit larger skiing slopes nearby, Cerkno and Krvavec, within 45 min of drive. Our location offers many exits for hiking, like on Blegos, Podlubnik, Porezen and Ratitovec hills. Closeness of a historic Skofja loka town (10 min of drive), the capitol city of Ljubljana and the Lake Bled (les than an hour of drive), an airport (cca 35 min of drive) makes the location even more attractive. Within one hour of cross-country drive, you can even reach gorgeous region around the most beautiful Soca river, towns like Most na Soci and Kobarid, where one of the World’s best cooks, Ana Ros, creates wonderful dishes. If you like castles, there are few nicely preserved that you will enjoy, like Freising bishop’s Skofja loka castle, Ljubljana castle, Lake Bled castle on a cliff. And a specifically romantic Strmol castle with intriguing story about it’s last owners, a factory owner Samo Hribar and his pilot and alligator pet loving wife Ksenija... Anywhere around actually, you can enjoy great fresh food and wine at great prices and meet friendly people.

We are only open to reciprocal exchange, but which doesn't need to be simulations necessarily as we own another holiday home. Mostly, we are looking to exchange within Europe, however in 2024 planning a trip to Florida, which we are partly looking to spend at Miami or similar beach-side place. Our daughter owns a land turtle, which needs to be taken care of when we are away, as well as the cat. Some guests like to do it, but it’s not an obligation, since we have a neighbour to take care of our Princes Lily and Kitty :)
