The garden: The South/West facing terrace is our favorite place to have dinner and enjoy the light nordic evenings in summertime. The garden is closed with garden gates to the silent street. We have swings, a trampoline, hammock and football goal and you will be able to collect vegetables in our greenhouse in the season. Our house: The house is 165 m2 and was completely renovated in 2017 with a new kitchen and 2 bathrooms, heated floors and ventilations system. It is very practical and equipped with all modern facilities, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, steam oven and induction stove. Three of the bedrooms are the children's rooms with toys and beds for 1 smaller kid and two bigger. The neighborhood: The house is situated in a quiet area with many families with kids. In walking distance you`ll find several playgrounds and green areas. Our town has 3 supermarkets and few take aways, a good baker and a small restaurant. There is a pharmacy and other smaller stores. Culture: We live in a suburb outside Aarhus (11 km to the city center, busses pass every 15-30 min). Aarhus was European Capital of Culture in 2017 and has many exciting places to visit. Within a 30m drive you will reach Scandinavia's biggest Summerland, Djurs Sommerland. In a 1h15m drive you will find the famous amusement park, Legoland. Copenhagen can be reached in a 3h drive by car or bus/train. Nature: The Mols Bjerge National Park presents a range of hiking trails in the hills with beautiful views of the ice age landscape. In summertime you can enjoy the bay of Aarhus' many sandy beaches, the nearest, Bellevue, is 5 km away. In walking distance you will find smaller beech forrests with natural playgrounds and trails for walking or running. Take the bike or roller skaters to Egå Engsø, the nearby lake, which has a biking lane of 5,2 km all the way round and a bird life and biodiversity that is loved by nature enthusiasts. On the half way you can take a break at the nature playground inspired by stone age. Listen to black birds singing in the twilight on the terrace or on a walk in the neighbourhood. Have take-away tapas or beuf bearnaise on friday from The Street Deli in front of the bakery, and bring some of the bakers delicious ryebread for your danish lunch the next days. Visit the local wine and delicatessens supplier, Bichel.dk.

A good view from plenty windows and light flooding into the rooms. Many funny architectural details, e.g. the kids' alcove beds and our cozy bench in the kitchen. Our house is fully equipped with toys, bikes and rollerblades for girls and boys, ideal for a family holiday.
