Lo que te va a encantar en esta casa

This farmhouse is around 200 years old and used to belong to an Italian senator. The house has been restored to its original plan, with a few modifications that opened up the kitchen-hayloft-stall into one big area. There are two large bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, one of the two has a footed bathtub in the BR. A large attic serves as a third bedroom, a playroom for children and a home theater with flat screen tv and a hi fi system. The attic, bedrooms and bathrooms have views of the surrounding vineyards and hills. In the library there is a comfortable fold-out couch, a digital piano and plenty of books. Outside there are two porticos, one of which leads to the wine cellar. We have a ping pong table and some mountain bikes that guests are free to use. We have kept things rustic: no microwave, WIFI but no cable or satellite TV, there is no landline. No AC but the house stays relatively cool in the summer as the walls are 60cm thick; ceiling fans keep the bedrooms cool. In the stall we have hidden bluetooth speakers in the manger, so you can stream music or podcasts. The house is joined to another house, separated by a tall hedge. The lawn is divided from our large meadow by a grove of hazelnut trees. There are lovely walking and hiking trails in the vineyards. We are open to exchanges April through October.

We are near the small town of Calosso, between Le Lange and Monferrato, in heart of the wine country of Piedmont. Calosso and environs are under the protection of UNESCO as a unique area with hand-carved limestone wine cellars and a precious agricultural tradition. This is a great destination for food and wine lovers. Piedmont is famous for its organic, grass-fed beef and its many excellent restaurants. The Slow Food movement was born not far from here, in Bra. The great wine destinations of Barolo, Barbaresco, Asti, Alba, are close. Food shopping is convenient - there is a market just a few minutes from the house with its own enoteca. Alba, the capital of Le Langhe, is only 23 kilometers away, featuring museums, historic churches, jazz and classical concerts, and excellent restaurants. In the charming nearby town of Acqui Terme (25 min.) boiling hot sulfur springs have been used to cure ailments since Roman times. There are two excellent spas that offer a range of treatments, or just a good soak in the water, said to be very good for your skin.
