Welcome to our family neighbourhood, a leafy suburban location with excellent links to Central London.
We are both working professionals, I have worked as an Event Manager in London, so I have a good knowledge of where to go and what to see, and can hopefully provide you with a good overall guide of London entertainment including hotels, bars and restaurants, places of interest. Mark is self employed, he initially worked in the music industry which he is still involved in, but also for a few years now he has moved into property development. We have 2 boys aged 12 and 16. We have both lived in South West London for some considerable time and are huge fans of this area, although not from here initially. Battersea is a great place for families or couples who want to enjoy the beauty of Clapham and Wandsworth Commons, Battersea Park and the River Thames.
We have made our 8 successful exchanges so far. We would want you to know that we would respect your home and treat it with care, as we do our own. Our boys are well travelled and well behaved, so please there should be no concern that we are travelling with children.

We love the sunshine particularly when it's winter in London. Having previously had a career as airline cabin crew, I haven't lost my thirst for travel and our boys seem to share my enthusiasm.
We always travel as a family and therefore look for exchanges that will keep everyone happy, ie a house that is set up similar to ours however ideally near the beach or with a pool.
We generally travel to the USA although exchanges in European beach resorts are of interest.
We made a great exchange with Marc and Andree to their family home in Clapham, London. The house is in a great location, very near the station which took us in to Central London really easily and very convenient to go and visit all the sights. Their home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and Andree and her family ensured there was lots of information on what to do and see. Their neighbourhood has lots of restaurants, bars and shops, and you can walk to everything you need locally. There are really cute market stalls on Northcote road, where we picked up artisan bread, olives etc. as well as great cafes with cakes to die for, we also just really enjoyed sitting at the street cafes people watching. Then there are also the nearby commons to walk and picnic, it is a very friendly neighbourhood which really welcomes families. We would highly recommend this home as a great place to base yourself if you want to enjoy Central London, as well as a great home to come back and relax in. We met up with Marc and Andree and their boys on our exchange, and since our exchange we have both visited each others home again and become great friends.
Catherine and Rae made us so welcome in their beautiful home in Barbados. They were perfect hosts and made super arrangements for us to enjoy their home and neighbourhood. Their home is ideally located to enjoy the West Coast, very close to Hole Town and the stunning Platinum coast. Their pool was great to cool down in after a day at the beach and we had everything we needed to enjoy a comfortable stay. I would not hesitate to recommend Catherine and Rae's home to anyone thinking of exchanging with them, and further to our great experience, we have since been to visit them and they have also returned to stay with us in London. A fantastic place to stay with perfect hosts.
We thoroughly enjoyed the exchange with Andree and Marc. Their London home is lovely. Their home is well appointed, very comfortable and spacious. The home is very close to the tube stop and overland train station, so it made all of London accessable. This was our first exchange and we couldn't be happier about the whole experience.
We had a wonderful exchange with Tim and Nancy with their home in San Diego. They were the perfect hosts making our stay extremely enjoyable, providing us with plenty of information on things to see and do, and where to eat and shop. As it was the holiday season, they even left a Christmas tree and gifts for our boys - so thoughtful. Their home is a peaceful community with tennis courts and pools to enjoy, sadly we were there in December and were quite brave enough to venture in. Their home is spacious, well cared for and has everything we needed. It is an ideal place from where to explore San Diego from and lovely to come home and relax. Would very much recommend their home as a great place to stay with perfect hosts.
We absolutely loved the location and the home itself. Marc and Andree and their sons greeted our family the first night with a home cooked meal, and it was a pleasure to have the chance to meet them before they left for our home in California. The outdoor garden area is the perfect place for meals, morning coffee, afternoon tea, or evening cocktails, assuming the weather is nice. It was perfect during our stay last summer. We spent many nights in the studio playing foosball with the kids, and walking down the street to shop, sample the local cuisine, and of course, grab a pint. There is a park just at the end of the block, and you can catch the Underground into the city to do some sightseeing within just a short walk. It is a bit far from the airport, so take Andree's advice and hire a Black Car. We could've easily spent the entire time just relaxing and enjoying their home and the suburban culture, but there was a lot of London we wanted to explore. The public transportation is super easy to use, and even though it was a hot summer, was a nice change from having to drive everywhere (like here in LA). If you're planning a visit to London, and want to have it all closely but not live in it, this is the perfect place to have the best of both worlds.
We had a fabulous time in Miyoko and Jeff's home in Agoura Hills. Their home is welcoming, has everything you need for a comfortable stay and we particularly all enjoyed their pool area. The location of their home is secluded and a great place to relax after a day of sight seeing and enjoying all that LA has to offer. It's only a short drive to the Malibu coast, which we loved and also close enough to everything we wanted to see. Miyoko provided us with great suggestions on places to eat, see and do. She was also excellent at communicating when making our trip arrangements. Would really recommend their lovely Californian home as a great place to stay and enjoy SoCal.
