Hello from Budapest!
My name is Andrea. I'm working as an in-house counsellor for a multinational company. I love traveling with my children, exploring new places, making friends and discovering the specialities of the places we visit. Now, that the kids are big enough I try to show them the real life instead of staying in different hotels.
You can discover Budapest from our house, situated in15 minutes drive from Budapest City Centre - (our car is negotiable), or from our 100 sqm duplex apartment in Budapest XIII. district which is our second home. Although our house is not in the Centre of Budapest, yet we would highly recommend it due to its size, comfort and charm. No simultaneous exchange needed.
We have completed 7 exchanges so far all of them was special and a great success. We became absolute fans of this home exchange society and we are all up to collect new experiences and friends through our future swap opportunities.
We are also interested in finding German or English speaking families with whom hospitality student-exchange could be arranged for helping the kids improving their language skills. (Dora speaks in German, Benedek speaks in English).
Any time These dates are flexible
Besides looking at historic sites we are also interested in numerous activities:
swimming, snorkelling, being lost in a flee market, playing angel in the snow, getting dizzy in an amusement park, feeding ourselves at a nice restaurant or just around the corner in a pizzeria...
We had a wonderful time in Budapest. The apartment was contemporary , though set in an real life part of town, with excellent transport links to Central Budapest. It was easy to organise with Andrea, and our house was in excellent shape on our return. WOULD THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND.
We had a great time in London. Big thanks for everything. It was very easy to set up this exchange with Joanne and Cameron. Thanks a lot for your treat, everything was perfect. Highly recommended exchange partners.
We have recently returned from an amazing home exchange with Andrea and her family and the lovely Budapest. Such an amazing city, we loved it. Andrea was really kind and helpful running up to the home exchange and went out of her way to accommodate us arriving on a late evening flight. She came the next day to make sure we were all settled in and then drove us into town to see the sights. She made our stay very comfortable including leaving swimming towels for the whole family to be able to enjoy the wonderful thermal baths and she arranged for us to print out our boarding cards at the end of the week. Her home was very well serviced for public transport and supermarkets. The space was very airy and light and everything was in full working order. I would strongly recommend Andrea and her family for a home exchange and Budapest is a very beautiful and exciting city. Rebecca, Will, Max and Julian
This was a wonderful house and just perfect for our family holiday. Breakfast outside every morning was a priviledge and we were an easy drive away from the airport and the city centre. The house is so practical and always warm in the (very cold) nights. We loved Budapest and were only sorry we didnt have more time to explore further. Everything is beautiful and the food so good. Thank you Andrea you could not have been more helpful and welcoming. We hope to come back soon.
We had the chance to spend a week in Philippa's gorgeous house in Sintra in June 2015. The property was equipped with everthing to make our staying comfortable and to feel like home. The owner is a very friendly and helpful lady who gave us tons of booklets and great advices what and when to visit or try, including one of the best restaurants in Portugal. We also had the chance to try the excellent wines her family produces. It was very easy to set up the swap with her. I strongly recommend her as an exchange partner. I do hope to visit her again in the near future. THANKS Philippa!
