Hipster Hello from Portland!
We are an outgoing and active family of five who love to travel, enjoy art, play, hang out at the beach, camp or explore a new city.
Paul is an attorney with his own general practice and enjoys tennis, German beer and his football team, the Cal Bears.
Stacey is a recovering attorney who is now a stay at home mom to our three girls - Amalia, Ella and Ruby - and enjoys tennis, cooking, making jewelry and riding her super cool yuba mundo bike around town.
Amalia (9) loves to play soccer and basketball, is learning to play the harp and enjoys collecting American Girl dolls.
Ella (7) is our artist, she enjoys drawing, singing and dancing to pop music and she loves to read.
Ruby (5) is our family care taker, she loves animals and has a great sense of humor.
Our family has done eight exchanges since joining home exchange in 2013 and we love this way of travel. The photo above was taken during our exchange to Mumbai, India.
We will take good care of your home, respect your animals and leave things as we found them.

My husband and I are lifelong travelers and are hoping to share our wanderlust with our children. We like to immerse ourselves in the culture of the places we are and seek the unexpected adventures that we never see coming. This is what makes life and travel fun.
This exchange must have been our best vacation ever. Thanks to both Portland and Paul and Stacey we returned home full of smiles and extraordinary holiday memories. Already before we left Copenhagen Paul and Stacey had introduced us to everything in their amazing home and served us with pages and pages of great things to do and see in Portland and Oregon. They are experienced exchangers and you can definitely see that! Everything was very well prepared. The home was perfect for our family. It is situated right between Hawthorne Blvd. and Division Street and still the street is quiet and green. The house is spacious and it easily accommodated our family of five. And our kids loved the place just like we did! Full of toys and all the gear needed for a Portland holiday. And from the house it's so easy to get to downtown Portland, Mt. Tabor and all the other great things nearby. And with the family car we drove to the most incredible places around Oregon. We couldn't believe how beautiful this place is! We will absolutely recommend exchanging with Paul and Stacey - and going to this awesome place on earth!
Our Copenhagen exchange with Andreas and his family was the best we have had so far!! Their apartment was in the Vesterbro neighborhood, which is centrally located, and the family provided us with various bikes to roam around the city. Even with our family of five this was the easily done. The S-train was also just a few blocks away and we used it to get back and forth from the airport. Vesterbro is a young and vibrant part of the city and there was a great park for a kids only a block away (and many more amazing parks throughout Copenhagen). Also nearby was the old Carlsberg brewery which was fun for us. The extra bonus was their beach house - only an hour away - which (similar to their city flat) was beautiful, quaint and cozy. It was stocked with all we needed and our only regret was not staying longer! We would recommend an exchange with this family to anyone. Andreas was easy to communicate with and extremely responsive. They gave us great recommendations on things to do and places to see. We felt they were very invested in providing is with a positive exchange. Upon return to our home, things were very clean and well taken care of. Our neighbors have all commented on the friendliness of Andreas and his family. Overall, a very positive exchange.
