Hello from beautiful Stockholm - the capital of Scandinavia!
Hej! We are an outgoing family of five. Marcus works as an archivist in an accounting firm. He loves music and soccer. Me, Annelie, work in the Pharma industry as a buyer. I enjoy home interior design and baking. Nils, 9 is in third grade. He loves playing soccer, reading books and he is a huge Harry Potter fan. Svea is 6. She likes to play outdoors, biking and Lego. Ivar is 2 and he is a huge fan of Everything with wheels.
We love travelling, and we try to do that as much as we can. We are friendly, social, outgoing, respectful and clean. We look forward to exchange homes and hope you will like our house as much as we do.
We love cafes and bakeries and we are always in search for the best cinnamon buns, cakes and pasteries.
Summer 2014, we spend 10 wonderful days in Annelie and Marcus' lovely home in Sollentuna, Stockholm. The house is very cosy, comfortable and typical scandinavian: stylish in a casual, playful way. We loved it and felt at home straight away. The house is children friendly and quiet although the neighbour live closely. Travelling to Stockholm was easy. And, being a family, we found the location ideal for exploring Stockholm and the archipelago. Stockholm is a wonderful city and the beauty of the archipelago is indescribable. Also Sweden is an uttermost children friendly country. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our host family was very friendly and accommodating, so easy to communicate with both before and during our stay. We even arranged to meet before the swap to exchange keys. They had prepared everything very well before our arrival: a nice and clean home, beds made, a full refrigerator, and all sorts of what-to-do and where-to-go tips. We give our best recommandations to the Rombergs!
This summer (2014) we spent a week in Copenhagen. We really enjoyed staying in Dan’s and Maggie’s house. The house has a perfect location, about 5-10 minutes walking to public transport that will take you to the city center in hardly no time. It is also walking distance to several grocery stores. The house is great, lots of space, modern interior with a nice and a big (for us!) garden. Our kids enjoyed the trampoline, swings and the other outdoor toys, as well as the indoor toys and kids’ rooms. Upon arrival, everything was set for us – beds made, fridge full of food and house clean and tidy. We also had the pleasure of meeting the host family while exchanging keys, and the whole family is outgoing, friendly and easy to correspond with. The family also has two tenants, of whom we hardly saw – they were very discreet and did not bother us. When the exchange was over, we came home to our clean house in Sweden. Thank you so much – we were delighted to swap house with you!
In the summer of 2015 we had a nice week exchange with Sollentuna close to Stockholm. The row-house and the local area is very nice, and safe for the children to play in. Our girls had lots of fun just playing in and around the house. It is close to nature - just 5 minutes on bike and you are out in the forest and can pick blue berries and go on small adventures. Stockholm city is within close reach by both train and car - and there are lots to do and see. The family took good care of our house - and we had a most pleasant exchange of information both before and during the exchange. Our warmest recommendations for any future exchanges with this nice family :-)
