Welcome to Brussels!
We are a younger couple who love to travel and live like locals. We are experienced travellers who love sharing good advise with our guests about our neighbourhood and what goes on in our area. We have a baby and a toddler and they too enjoy discovering new destinations.
We hope to exchange with you too.
We had a lovely 6-night exchange in Copenhaguen. The apartment was conveniently located, only a few meters from the metro station and still close enough to the center to allow walking through the city. Tina and Jeppe were very helpful in helping us arrange our stay, had a nice welcoming guide of the house and tourist information ready for us, and were always available for last minute questions. Last but not least, they took good care of our apartment and our cat. I would recommend them as really dependable home exchangers.
We had a great 6-night exchange in Brussels. The appartment was supurb and the location was very central. Camille and Olivier were very helpful during the planning of our stay and gave good tips on restaurants in the neighbourhood. Our home was also taken very good care of. We can highly recommend you to exchange with this family.
Our exchange with Tina and Jeppe in Copenhagen in June of 2009 was fantastic, a life experience in a beautiful home and City. Their apartment is a bright, airy, cozy 2 bedroom with very comfortable living space and plenty of room for 4 adults. We loved the compact well equipped Scandinavian kitchen and comfortable beds and duvets. The location was absolutely perfect (1.5 blocks from Copenhagen's very modern Metro) for exploring Copenhagen City Centre (4 metro stops away) and taking day trips in the country. There is a bakery around the corner which provided daily Danish pastries and bread to go with our tea and coffee, which we all miss!Highlights from our trip to Denmark - canoeing the canals of Christianshavn, a 300 year old pub in the heart of Nyhavn, a Denmark / Sweden soccer game (Denmark won, of course!), a street party in a funky neighbourhood with interesting vintage shops and restaurants, a trip to Roskilde to see the burial place of ALL the Danish monarchs right back to Harald Blue Tooth, a Viking Museum, climbing church towers, the brilliant Danish National Museum, the Rosenborg Castle, Christiania, a typical Danish
Great location, nice remodel, very clean and neat.Bright and stylish apartment within easy walking distance of the amazing Metro system.Several great bakeries and discount stores within ten minutes walk. We particularly enjoyed an easy, level jog around the lake, West on Peter Bangs Vej.The bakery clerk on Peter Bangs Vej was patient enough to let my son ring up his own bill.Note about Danish currency: Don't even bother trying to use credit cards (without pin), even if a store claims to support them. Most stores accept local dan-cards only, or debit cards with a pin (no cash back, and the visa charges of 3 % are passed on to the consumer). Debit cards work in ATM machines with a low daily limit./Uffe
We had a very nice stay in Bruxelles. The flat is ideally located fot visiting city, not far from city center in an exciting (but quiet!) neighbourhood (place Flagey, parks, Art nouveau, museum...). The flat is modern, clean and confortable. Tina was very nice and gave us lot of ideas fot visiting city. It's a perfect place with children (lot of toys) and practical because of parking. She took care of our home and let it very clean and in order. Great exchange!
We had a lovely stay. Alice and her family made us feel very welcome at their house. The house is well situated for visiting Strasbourg and the wine route. Alice provided a cot for our daughter and very good tips for visiting the area. Our appartment was very well taken care of and left spotless for us to return to. We can give Alice and her family our best recommendation.
We had a good stay in Brussels in the lovely apartment of Tina & Jeppe. Very spacious, extravaganza heating system :) and clean. Lively neigherhood, just a few blocks away from the city centre, movie theatre and other cozy restaurants. It was our first home exchange experience. We did a simultaneously swop. We were glad that they were respectfull to our home as well :)
We had a lovely stay with Bart and Marijke in Amsterdam. We felt very at home. The apartment had everything we needed and we were given good information on what to see, where to eat and so on. Bart and Marijke took very good care of our place and we can surely recommend them as exchange partners.
The house is located close to Flagey Square: A square modern and full of life. There is a weekly market with very affordable prices. In ten minutes you can reach the city center by tram or bus. Airport can be reached easily. The house is very modern, large and bright. There are two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. A great living room and balconies. There is wi-fi and all the comforts. during the week a person has cleaned the house. Brussels is a very interesting city to visit. Near the house there are some important buildings with art nouveau architecture and the Horta Museum, built in the house of the famous architect. Dialogue with Tina was easy and friendly. She suggested us very interesting places to visit. Exchange very positive.
We experienced our first home exchange in 2013 with Tina and Jeppe in Brussels. It was a real pleasure to deal with such a wonderful couple. They helped us in every way possible to make the exchange very smooth, from explaining to us in detail and with much patience all we needed to know about the apartment itself and transportation, to setting us up with their neighbor's parking spot for our convenience. We are very happy with our experience with them and would recommend them for further exchanges.
