- Debbie David (2)
David is a retired real estate attorney, and Debbie is a retired public administrator. Our children are adults and do not travel with us. We have three dogs, a lab named Hillary, two chihuahuas named Bella and Mocha, and two cats, Fireball and Jello. The dogs do not travel with us and are housed with relatives while we are gone. We prefer to leave the cats at home as they are indoor cats and easy to attend to. David lived in France for a year as an exchange student, and we love to travel. We enjoy Davis very much for being a university town in the midst of all that Northern California has to discover.
David and Debbie's second home in Alta Fulla has been recently renovated and given great attention to comfort and luxury in a most beautiful setting. The decor is very tasteful and welcoming. As a couple travelling with a friend we found the layout of the house offered great privacy, each bedroom with its own ensuite together with various areas to 'chill out' depending on your mood or desire. The location of the house is central old town and immediately opposite the town square which added extra interest to our visit as we were lucky to catch a number of festivities due to our proximity to the square which might otherwise have been missed. We loved to roam Alta Fulla's medieval old town, through it's beautiful narrow winding streets which seemed to offer up a photo opportunity at every turn. With a great beach only minutes walk away, we found this location to have a diverse range of options. We caught a train to Barcelona (about 1 hour) and drove to Tarragona, Montserrat, Sitges, Freixnet Winery, to name just a few of the other locations easily accessed. This exchange, while perhaps slightly off the usual 'tourist' track, was a totally fabulous and memorable holiday even further enhanced by the help and support of our wonderful hosts who armed us with all the best tips on where to eat, what to see and where to go. Invaluable advice which we followed. If you are lucky enough to exchange with David and Debbie you will not be disappointed by the house, the location or their support.
For our first home exchange, we could not have dreamt of a better experience. The house is just as depicted on the website: comfortable, gorgeous, so well decorated in a lovely medieval village. The whole process was really smooth and communication with Debbie and David easy and very Friendly. A n experience far above expectation for us and our kids...
My husband and I had the extreme pleasure of exchanging with Dorine and David this past summer. Their home is located in the 15th Arrondissement, very close to the Eiffel Tower, with a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower from an exceptional rooftop deck. This location offers easy access to transportation, restaurants, shopping and everything else that makes Paris so enjoyable. Their home is quite modern and very comfortable with numerous outdoor areas and Dorine and David are very easy people to deal with as they both speak fluent English. We loved our time in their home and would easily recommend exchanging with them if given the opportunity.
