This was a nice little getaway in the mountains. We traveled up from Florida and met my in-laws who were driving down from Ohio. Asheville was the exact middle for all of us. This was a very nice home and we loved the views! It was very quite and they had a fantastic yard for our dogs to run around in. The location was beyond perfect because we were just a few minutes away from hiking trails and grocery shopping. The weather rained everyday (which we found out was very unusual for the time of year we were there) but we were able to play games inside their great room and enjoy the views while it rained. We enjoyed dinners on their covered back patio while looking for fireflies and the occasional July 4th fireworks. This is a great home if you are looking for a private and quiet home yet close to hiking and trails.

What we said about Mandy's house:

We had a wonderful time staying at Josh and Mandy's ocean front condo in Ponce Inlet, FL. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and offered an amazing view of the ocean. The stay was very family friendly--our kids had a great time playing at the beach and swimming in the pool. Everyone was kind and helpful. We visited the midway at Daytona Beach, took a manatee boat tour, visited the lighthouse and the Marine Science Center. We highly recommend this exchange to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing visit to the ocean!

Our three days in this mountain retreat couldn't have been better! Although we did take advantage of its proximity to Asheville (which was at least half the big draw for us to this location), we were so enthralled by the views from the main living area of this mountain home that we had a hard time choosing to go into the town. The huge glass windows look out over the most picturesque scene--a pasture with horses at the bottom of the nearby slope, and a beautiful range of mountains in varying heights in the distance. The several bird feeders positioned on the wrap around deck bring in an interesting variety of birds--we saw many hummers but other birds as well. Inside, James and family really do have some wonderful wall hangings and artwork, pieces that especially reflect a love of the natural world. Everything about the house and the location was inviting and friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the homemade peach marmalade the owners left for us was worthy of a separate five star review! What a perfect three days!

What we said about Libby's house:

We had a marvelous time at this beach home on Topsail Island! The home is in a lovely location, between the ocean and the sound. Easy beach access a short walk from the house. We enjoyed riding bikes all over the island and the beautiful tranquility of Autumn on the island. The home perfectly accommodated our family of four, with room for more if we'd needed. The hosts were kind and welcoming and easy to exchange with. We would definitely visit again!
