My husband and I did an exchange with Geraldine during September and October of 2013. It was a perfect exchange. Her home is exactly as shown, with the added benefit of the best peace and quiet I've ever experienced. The only sound is the wind when it blows. The home has every convenience and is very comfortable. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful. It's a great place to go for walks and see cows and do cloud watching. Geraldine is very accommodating and helped us in many ways. By the end of our exchange I felt like family with her. And she took great care of our house. I can't imagine a better person to exchange with. Thank you, Geraldine!

What we said about Barbara and Mark's house:

I stayed at Barbara and Mark's wonderful home in Mill Valley in Sept/Oct. It's a charming house full of interesting lampshades, drapes, cushions and corners. Very warm and comfortable with great beds!. Great wireless internet which I needed. Mill Valley is a cute little town perfectly placed for San Francisco (the ferry is less than 10 minutes away), Sausalito and wine country (only an hour's drive). I would walk into town (only 20 minutes) through leafy avenues to browse the shops and sit on the square watching the world go by. The Mill Valley film festival was on while I was there so I saw 3 great films. It was like home from home - except there was a great patio to sit on and loads of sunshine! We exchanged cars too which was invaluable. Barbara couldn't have been more helpful. She sent me tons of information about the local attractions - walks, shops, restaurants. She also loaned me a US cell phone for while I was there and I used the GPS on it all the time! I was so happy being in this house and want to persuade them to swap with me again next year! Thanks Barbara and Mark.

This was a fabulously beautiful location, very remote but wonderfully so. We loved being in an Irish speaking area and everyone was very welcoming. Geraldine was so warm and friendly and left so many maps and brochures that we were never at a loss for exploring options. The three weeks sped by; the Connemara landscape lodged itself in my soul.

What we said about Lucretia's house:

I loved my trip to Connecticut. Lucretia and Jamie's home is fabulous - large, spacious, comfortable and full of interesting artefacts from their travels. The kitchen is large, well equipped and great to hang out in. All the bedrooms have a sea view, comfortable beds and en suite bathrooms. 2 lovely neighbours were on hand to help if I needed it. The house is right on the shoreline and so my morning walk was up and down the beach. Outlet shopping was only 15 mins away and there are great local restaurants and delis nearby. We did a car swap too so we were able to meet at Shannon on the way there and back. It was great to meet Lucretia and James in person. All in all - a fabulous exchange.
