We were very fortunate and managed to split our time between the apartment in Torroella (Costa Brava) and the home in Gracia. It worked out really well. Both apartments were in lovely condition and well appointed with everything you would need for a stay. Torrroella was an unexpected surprise giving any guest a chance to see Catanlunya at it's best - a nice, relaxed town in itself only a few miles from the sea and so much of interest all around. We had a bit of a Dali fest visiting both Cadaquez and the museum in Figueres. Gracia is the perfect location if you want to see real Barcelona not the touristy bits - lovely placas, quirky little shops, a great market and lots of places to eat while watching the world go by. This is a real neighbourhood and worth exploring. The apartment was spacious and everything was easy to use. The roof terrace was a real bonus which we used for an impromptu dinner. It is quite difficult to actually locate if you have a car as the street name changes 3 times but it's probably better to walk around the city/use the brilliant public transport anyway. Anna & Pere have left a great guide to all sorts of things which made life very easy. All in all, a great week. We hope to be back soon - thoroughly recommended
It was great to live for some days in the former house of a Prix Goncourt, we were very excited!! Sophie, Emmanuel and their three kids have an amazing house, with a huge garden (or even forest!!) where we relaxed and Martí played. We enjoyed taking care of the plants, and the animals: nice cats and a turtle. Martí spent time exploring Samuel’s toys while we relaxed outside with a book. Domessargues is a great spot from where you can visit very nice towns like Alès, Uzès, Nîmes or Avignon. Now that they have a swimming pool, we bet it’s even a greater place to go!!
We have been to Nadja and Olga’s house twice, and we would always repeat. We love the neighbourhood, nice and with great people, and the whole city. The house is very well communicated, close to an underground station, nicely decorated and confortable.
Very very nice and confortable house decorated with very good taste. We cooked in the great kitchen, spend time relaxing in the living room or outside in the garden with the summer sunshine. The time was great, with no extreme heat and we could even go to the beach. Moreover, Bretagne is a great place, with plenty of things to do and places to visit. It is also a great exchange for people with kids, as they have toys that Martí really enjoyed. Florence prepared a very good welcoming kit for us, with typical products of the region, that we really appreciated. The whole family took really good care of our house as well.
