Greetings from Utah, a state of contrasts- from vivid red rock hiking trails to snowy powder ski slopes!!
Hi, we are excited to finally become members of HomeExchange!!
We have been empty nesters for awhile but we are not yet retired so our time away from home is dictated by school holidays since Rand is a teacher. We have 2 grown boys living in Oregon so our vacations usually revolve around visiting them and the grand children who are the joys of our lives.
We travel with 2 small non-shedding Miniature Schnauzers when on extended vacations so finding accommodations can be difficult. We are happy to have your canine or 2 should you choose to bring them along. This is the first year that we are planning on taking a month long vacation to get a feel for what the northwest is like in different seasons since we are considering relocation in a few years.
We have a 2600 sq. ft. bi-level home so be aware that there are stairs involved in order to access the premises. Our location is in Sandy, a suburb south of Salt Lake City and only 20-30 minutes from skiing or hiking in the Wasatch Range or enjoying quaint Park City, home of the Sundance Film Festival. There are also many day or overnight trips one can make to the variety of spectacular National Parks that Utah has to offer. If gambleing is your thing you will not be able to satisfy your urges in Utah but Wendover, Nevada is just a few hours drive west and the road is well travelled!!
Happy travels and best regards,
Rand & Viv

We are planning on a vacation in the Portland/ Salem area and would love a simultaneous home swap for any of the days or all of our stay.
Since our family is comprised of 3 males and one female, every vacation we ever planned when our boys were young involved attending a baseball game. The deal was that Mom would go along with this as long as they would agree to a little cultural outing as well! It made for alot of interesting vacations and a multitude of fond memories:-)
