My wife is a well known artist and art teacher with a studio and gallery in the City and her own studio in our home. I am semi-retired PhD water resources engineer, having run a large international management consulting company for nearly 30 years. I now own a small boutique management consulting firm that helps property owners around the world create value through sustainable development. Our children are grown and living in New York City pursuing careers as Internet entrepreneurs and international business consulting. We love living in DC and often enjoy the arts, theater, music, food and sports in the City. Most of the museums are free, so we visit them often. We also enjoy the dozens of theaters from the formal Kennedy Center stages to the very informal alternative theaters like Woolly Mammoth or the Studio Theater. We frequent the galleries and clubs in DC and love discovering new restaurants. We travel often to Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. We've walked across England and bicycled through Turkey, France, and Croatia. We enjoy hiking in the US and have lots of opportunity in the nearby mountains of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Having grown up in New York, we both enjoy returning often and spend summers on the Jersey Coast at our beach house about an hour from Manhattan by car, a bit longer by train or ferry.
