We stayed at this wonderful home in San Francisco while the owners stayed at our vacation house on the Russian River. We loved the Victorian architecture along with the renovations that provided all the modern amenities. Huge picture windows in the dining room looked out onto an oasis of a backyard and the light and bright kitchen made it a pleasure to cook. Our kids appreciated the toys (which were all neatly organized) and we appreciated being able to read while they were happily occupied! I also loved having access to an elliptical exercise machine set up in front of a TV and blue-ray player. The Glen Park BART station was a easy walk from the house and we were able to zip the few stops into downtown in a flash. The owners of the house provided local area info along with maps to nearby attractions (including a great playground we never would have found on our own). The owners were incredibly easy to work with in setting up the exchange and they were gracious hosts, greeting us with a bottle of wine and homemade cookies. We have done many home exchanges in San Francisco and this is one we would love to return to in the future!

What we said about Eric & Clary's house:

We stayed 3 nights at Clary and Eric's river house in Duncans Mills and had a wonderful time while they were at our home in San Francisco! We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying sunny winter days and also really enjoyed using the canoe for lazy times up and down the river with our 3 year old. There are a lot of great hikes nearby and the house is equipped with everything we needed including a nice welcome bottle of wine! Lots of great toys to keep our son busy. Thanks!

This was our first exchange and we ended up swapping homes with a family from San Francisco for our house in Santa Cruz. It could not have gone more smoothly. The house we stayed in was wonderful, neat and clean and well situated for our day outings. The family made sure that our stay was comfortable for not only my wife and me but also for our two children. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival and plenty of delicious oranges and coffee. The kids loved playing with the toys at the house and we all enjoyed the views from the many windows throughout the house. The owners of this San Francisco home were open and generous and could not have been more pleasant to interact with throughout our time leading up to and during the exchange. Thank you so much for making our first, but certainly not last, exchange such a great experience.

We had a wonderful home exchange with Amanda and her family. Her home is in a great location to explore San Francisco. We walked to restaurants (Gialina, Higher Grounds) and St. Mary's Park, and took the bus to the zoo. Her home is lovely and even has a small backyard. She is easy to communicate with and I would gladly recommend a home exchange with her.

What we said about Donna & Family's house:

We recently stayed at Donna's family house in Penn Valley and had such a wonderful time. The house is up on a hill with a peekaboo view of the lake and has a very cozy mountain cabin feel. Everything we needed was easy to find- including a great package of area information and magazines. The gated community has a great lake and feels like a really nice summer camp! We were able to drive into Nevada City for great meals and spent a lot of time on the Yuba river (only a 15-20 minute drive). Beautiful area and couldn't Donna and her family were very easy to communicate with. When we returned to our house it looked like no one had ever been there. I highly recommend swapping with Donna and her family.

We made a weekend exchange in this beautiful home in San Francisco, while Amanda and her family stayed at our place in SLO. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was wonderful with beautiful decor, an amazing kitchen, and an ideal location. We really enjoyed exploring a different part of the City than we typically visit. We walked to Glen Park for a few meals and Bernal Heights for a great Peruvian dinner. We were also able to grab the Muni line just a few blocks from their house when we didn't feel like walking anymore. The logistics of the exchange went smoothly and Amanda was extremely easy to work with. Their house was spotless when we arrived (and she even left wine and treats), and when we got back to our place, we could hardly tell that anyone had been here. Overall, it was an excellent experience and we would certainly recommend them for anyone interested in an exchange.

What we said about Marc's house:

We stayed at Marc and Michelle's beautiful house in SLO the weekend of 9/26/13 and had a wonderful time. The house is well appointed with beautiful views, a large yard that is great for lounging and a nice hot tub for relaxing at night. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to the cute downtown of SLO from the house and so close to wineries and the coast! We had a great side trip to hazardous cove by Morro Bay- a really great place to take our 4 year old tide pooling and looking at pebbles! Communicating with Marc and Michelle was very easy and they took great care of our home as well. I would highly recommend a home exchange with this family. -Amanda, Collin and Milo Martin

We very much enjoyed our exchange with Amanda. The home is beautiful and well appointed. It turned into a girls weekend because the husbands were too busy to join us, which we liked just as well. :-) We enjoyed some time in the city visiting hot spots on the first night and then brunch at the Ferry Building Farmer's Market on Saturday morning and shopping at Union Square. Amanda left her Pug dog, Jessie with us (per my request!) and we enjoyed taking care of her. She was quiet and patient with all the girl chatter. I have a hilarous video of Jessie that I took on Sunday morning when Jessie was well rested (after having slept with me!) and was ready to start the day. We spent a lazy Sunday morning having breakfast in the beautiful back yard. It was a peaceful and beautiful haven from the clamor of the city that we didn't want to leave! We would certainly exchange with Amanda again. BTW - Amanda left my house so clean, I couldn't even tell she was there, much less with a friend and two kids!

Amanda, Colin & Milo ... the exchange was fabulous. We enjoyed your home, the garden and the quick access and proximity of some great places we often go to. Coming through the hilly roads from Sunset was new and exciting ... we had never stayed in your part of town before. The amenities in your home ... the kitchen, sitting areas, the floor to ceiling windows with view on the garden, the bathrooms and bedrooms are all very comfortable and so well done. This is probably one of the very few times that we spent more time hanging around at your home, relaxing ... reading than at any other prior exchange we have participated in. A redo is always welcome ... Jan & Ron.

What we said about Jan's house:

My family stayed at Ron and Jan's place in Corona del Mar the first week of August, 2015. We loved that the house was so close to the beach and in such a nice neighborhood in walking distance to everything we needed. Their home has such great indoor/outdoor living and Ron loves to cook, so there is everything you could need to make a great meal. We ate out two nights on the outdoor patio, and it was so nice! This was a great week for my family and we will cherish the memories that we made on our vacation to Ron and Jan's beautiful home! Thank you so much for all of your great communication and wonderful hospitality :). We would be thrilled to swap again sometime.
