- Maureen Professor (65)
- Harry Business Owner and Retired Teacher (69)
Hello from the mountains of Arizona!
Our main home is in the desert city of Yuma, Arizona, and our mountain home is in the mountains of Flagstaff, Arizona. We are both retired teachers and currently Maureen is an adjunct professor with Northern Arizona University in Yuma where she specializes in training potential special education teachers and Harry has his own financial business. We have two children, Ryan, an attorney with his own firm, and Melissa, a teacher, and six grandchildren. We are both non smokers and insist on a non smoking exchange. We enjoy traveling and experiencing other countries and people. Harry enjoys golf and we both like fine food and wine and love to read. We have traveled extensively in Europe and continue to do so. However, the United States and Canada are currently high on our visit list.
In our travels we love to experience local wines and food. We also like to meet new friends and share experiences.
Thank you Harry and Maureen for a wonderful time! We had been to Flagstaff once before and had never realized all that we had missed the first time! Harry and Maureen provided us with so many wonderful ideas we left after a week and still felt like there were things we didn't have time to see and experience. Not to be missed: Walnut Canyon. Their home was wonderful. It is located very close to Flagstaff and the HWY which leads to activities in every direction. We appreciated the fully equipped kitchen, back porch overlooking a mountain, the tasteful decor and quiet relaxing community. Everyday we made a point to watch the sunset in a new location...the beauty of the area will stay with us forever. Warning: this exchange will only appeal to individuals who love nature, breath taking vistas, awe inspiring sunsets, good restaurants, hiking, easy day trips and accommodating helpful hosts! Thank you for taking such good care of our home while we enjoyed yours...we hope to return to Flagstaff someday. Sheri & Todd
Our exchange in Flagstaff couldn't have been more perfect. The condo was comfortable and homey. The location was perfect for exploring the Grand Canyon and the surrounding northern Arizona area. We visited Sedona to the south and went as far as Zion National Park to the north. Flagstaff was a fun town to visit. Cute restaurants, nice shops, and some nice museums. The neighborhood was quiet and offered a nice walking path. The area was beautiful, fun and relaxing. We would highly recommend this exchange.
This island is truly gorgeous. The beach area was peaceful and beautiful. We spent several days touring Charleston and the surrounding area. The home itself was lovely and well appointed. It has several bedrooms and bathrooms, so a couple can spread out. The kitchen was fully equipped, but we ate out at the wonderful area restaurants. We enjoyed seeing wildlife from the deck area and spent some time bike riding around the island. If you are a golfer, this is the place for you. The golf courses were spectacular as were the clubhouse restaurants. There is a small village-type area on the island, which has a wonderful market. The owners were very helpful with good restaurant suggestions. We would recommend this exchange to all.
