Food, Art and Movies

We love people and we love food and frequently entertain our international group of friends.

We are complete and utter movie addicts (you are welcome to browse our English DVD and Blu-Ray-collection), love literature, graphic novels, and music. Olga collects comics and we both have a deep appreciation for art, ranging from vinyl toys and ceramics to photograpy and painting.

We have been to Nadja and Olga’s house twice, and we would always repeat. We love the neighbourhood, nice and with great people, and the whole city. The house is very well communicated, close to an underground station, nicely decorated and confortable.

What we said about Anna and Pere's house:

Anna and Pere were wonderful and easy-going exchange partners. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in their comfortable and central apartment in Barcelona. If you like exploring a city by foot, this is the perfect location for you.

It was wonderful to stay at Nadja and Olga's very charming and well equipped apartment in Berlin! Moreover Nadja and Olga were so kind and helpful, and it was a pleasure to meet them. I surely hope to exchange with them some other time in the near future.

What we said about Signe's house:

We had a great time at Signe's beautful and stylish apartment. It is a great place with lots of books, beautifully furniture and a great vibe. It might not be the most quiet place, but what it lacks in tranquilitiy it makes up in location and charm! Luckily we caught the first sunny weekend of the year in Copenhagen! Signe's apartment is perfectly located to get to everywhere by foot. It is only a short stroll passing the State Museum of Arts and through the beautiful garden of Rosenborg castle to get to Indre By, where all the shops are located. A 15 minute walk to the other side brings you to quirky Nørrebro with its dozen of hip restaurants and bars (not to forget the great Assistens Cemetery with many a famous people's graves from Kirkegard over Hans Christian Anderson to Nils Born). You literally can walk anywhere and yet, right in front of your doorstep are many great bakeries, bars, cafés and restaurants. The people of Copenhagen were incredible friendly and very helpful, almost everyone speaking English. We were also surprised by the great food scene - by which we don't just mean world-famous Noma. We met Signe and Thomas shortly when they arrived in Berlin and even got to meet Signe's mom and two of her kids on our last day. Everyone was just lovely and we would exchange with them again in a heartbeat. Next time, though, we will come by car so we can bring back home all the furniture we will buy...
