What we said about leanne's house:

We stayed in Leanne's previous apartment in Fort Greene for 4 weeks in Dec, Jan on a simultaneous exchange. We had a wonderful time there. The subway into Manhattan is regular and efficient so we were easily able to go to all of the major attractions. Brooklyn is also a great place to visit with attractions including Brooklyn Heights, the excellent Brooklyn Acadamy of Music, the Brooklyn Art Gallery, DUMBO and of course a walk or bike ride over the Brooklyn Bridge. We enjoyed meeting Leanne and Sam and also her parents in Sydney and they left our apartment how they found it.

We have just returned from a wonderful month at Alan and Libby's place in central Sydney and when I say central I mean it. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful venue then this may not be for you but if you enjoy a lively and vibrant place then this is the place for you. You are 10 minutes from the opera house, the cricket ground, the museums, cinemas and almost anything else. Wonderful beaches (Bondi, Coogee, Bronte, are a half hour away on the bus and Manley too via ferry. Don't even think about hiring a car- you can't park it anywhere and the buses, trains and ferries are fantastic. The apartment is on the 15th floor and has all the necessary amenities. Alan and Libby were very helpful and I would recommend this exchange to anyone who enjoys city life.

What we said about Tony & Tina's house:

We stayed in Tina and Tony's house for the month of August this year with my brother and his wife. The 4 of us had a wonderful holiday. Lots to see and do including famous places such as Wells and Bath and not so famous small villages with great English pubs with excellent food. The house was very comfortable. Plenty of space, a lovely garden and all of the required amenities. It is beautifully furnished. We would definitely recommend this exchange for people who want to see among the best of the beautiful counties of England

The spacious and well-appointed home has impressive 270-degree views of Sydney, the harbour, and the Opera House. It is centrally located with its own neghborhood slate of hip restaurants, pubs, and clubs. We could walk to many of our destinations, and it was simple to get elsewhere in the city or region by bus, train, and ferry. The ferries are an attraction in themselves. Mid-autumn (our exchange was in April) in Sydney is delightful with warm days and cool evenings. The city boasts a wide assortment of sights and culture; we just scratched the surface during our two-week stay. Easy day trips to the Blue Mountains and Kangaroo Valley provided relaxing breaks from Sydney's bustle. Our host family has compiled a comprehensive guide to the home, the neighborhood, and Sydney. We kept in contact during the exchange via e-mail and texts, so little day-to-day questions were swiftly dispatched. It was fun to follow their time in our home city as well. All-in-all it was a thorougly enjoyable exchange that we'd highly recommend. -- Matt Emerson

What we said about Kevin & Matt's house:

It has all been said in previous reviews. This is a fabulous house in a great location. All the mod cons with an amazing kitchen and plenty of living space. Our group consisting of 7 people were all very comfortable. Kevin is very friendly and accommodating and we had no trouble organising our exchange. As for New Orleans and the JazzFest, I have been wanting to go there as long as I can remember and my expectations were exceeded. The amount of world class music was amazing. The JazzFest was well organised with good crowd management and excellent food. We want to return at some stage. Our group has no hesitation in recommending this exchange.

Alan and Libby were very easy to deal with - flexible and responsive. Their apartment is large, well-equipped and has spectacular views. The area is very lively and varied with good connections to Sydney's many attractions. We had an extremely enjoyable two weeks there. Highly recommended!

What we said about Gideon's house:

The house was well appointed with plenty of accommodation, great views and all of the required mod cons.. The pool was still warm enough to use at the start of October. (special request required to use pool after September) It is a beautiful pool with great views of the Tuscan Hillsides. A car is essential, however with this, there are lots of historic hill villages, hot baths, art galleries, wineries etc in the region, Siena which was an easy drive, is one of my favourite towns in Italy. We found the nearest village Buon Convento to be a classic Italian town with a good market and plenty of excellent restaurants. We met Gideon and Sue in Sydney when they stayed in our apartment in March. They were friendly, easy to get along with and flexible in our requests. They continued our great experience with home exchange and left our apartment in pristine condition. We would highly recommend this exchange. .
