Warm Greetings from Rancho Mirage in the Palm Springs area of California
We are a retired couple who have been married for 44 years. We live in Southern California and have maintained two homes - one in San Diego, the 2nd in Palm Springs for the past 25 years. Our business provided us many opportunities to travel both domestically and internationally. We have two adult sons and four precious granddaughters, ages 8 - 13. Our goal, as we enter this stage of our lives, is to travel 4 - 6 months a year . . . exchanging our home in the desert for other homes. Our homes are in prime locations and very well maintained - would love to find the same to enjoy.
April 16 — December 31, 2016 These dates are flexible
We have been to Russia, Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania, India, Bali, Cambodia, Turkey, Greece and more.
In September are going to Peru and Machu Picchu. We want to see how other people live and experience their community and cuisine.
Our goal for 2014 is to spend 1 - 2 months in the countryside of Puglia in Southern Italy.
This is truly a home from home experience, if not more…! You will certainly NOT be disappointed holidaying at this wonderful, beautiful and fully equipped home. The hosts were very accommodating, informative and just simply charming making sure we had everything we needed for an amazing and memberable two week holiday. The main shopping areas are just a short drive away (5 minutes) and have everything and more you could possibly want. The weekend street market was great fun and we spent hours getting some great bargains. There are so many wonderful restaurants within easy reach you really do not need to cook at all! The house was in perfect condition, impeccably clean with wonderful luxurious bedding and towels which always makes a huge difference to our overall holiday experience. The pool was warm, clean and perfectly maintained throughout our stay. The only problem we had is that we had to leave…..! A fabulous location, a charming home and an incredibly warm welcome – what more could we ask for – thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us.
We just returned from a "once in a lifetime trip" to France and beyond. It was prompted by an invitation from Donna and Jay to exchange our homes. The idea of staying for two weeks in a central region of France was inviting. Though the house was expansive and designed for a large family, it was charming for just two. It being April, the weather was cool so we didn't use the pool. Instead, we ventured out each day to explore the countryside and to savor the beautiful flowers in bloom. These regional towns are a charming blend of history and contemporary experiences. The house was carefully assembled with great beds, linens, dishes and more. We didn't lack for anything. The movie library was extensive for both children and adults. It was a perfect setting to unwind and to relax.
