- sharon paralegal
Aloha from Maui's Gold Coast
Sharon is a 64-yr-old widow who works part-time as a paralegal for the County of Maui govt. (Maui resident 37 yrs) I am a non-smoker and do not allow smoking in my home or vehicle. Smoking is allowed on the covered deck. I would probably bring my boyfriend. Love scuba diving, hiking, snow skiing, ballroom dancing.
We hadn't done many exchanges, but Sharon made everything easy and our place was a pleasure to come back to at the end of the exchange. Her house is a couple of blocks from the beach, out of the hustle of the resort area of Kihei, with a living area and huge deck looking west to the water, very well equipped (although we didn't use the spa and games room) and an excellent masseuse next door. If there's a better place than Maui for a holiday we haven't found it. Good snorkeling off the shore, diving, surfing, stand-up, secluded coves, hikes, mountain biking (investigate Skyline Trail - needs a bit of organisation), great drives, plenty of entertainment and restaurants for all budgets. Even the resort areas are interesting. Having a comfortable house to come back to allowed us to make the most of it. Can't think of any negatives really except that living's a bit expensive, being in the middle of an ocean surrounded by wealthy people. Definitely need a car.
