We love home exchanging!!
Mark is a retired businessman and Julie is retired from teaching at a local elementary school and we both retired early in our 50s. We love to travel and have completed over 70 wonderful exchanges. We keep active by hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, tennis and many sports with family and friends. We have two married children and a grandson and 2 grand daughters that live nearby in Orange County. There will be two of us traveling, but depending on the exchange we might ask another couple if it is agreeable with you. We are a non-smoking couple and our home is no smoking and we request the same. We will take excellent care of your home and we hope you will take good care of ours too.
We love the coast, lakes and mountains, especially if you have a view. So, if your home has a view or is in one of these places we would love to hear from you!!
We enjoyed a fabulous exchange at Mark and Julie's place near Huntington Beach. They have an idyllic spot, right on the water and we loved using the kayak tied up at their jetty to explore the waterways. We also explored using their bikes and especially loved cycleway along the waterfront. Their home is beautifully appointed and they made sure that we had a wonderful time in their home. We would always be willing to do any future exchanges with this great couple. Thank you so much mark and Julie.
It was our pleasure to stay at this beautiful and comfortable apartment across from Red Beach. We loved this area and meeting John and Vicki. They are very hospitable and gave us wonderful ideas about what to see and do. Also, they took excellent care of our home and we would enjoy having a repeat exchange someday. We certainly recommend them as exchange partners!! Thanks so much, Julie and Mark
This is a perfect location if you like the beach and Southern California. The home faces Huntington Harbor, and there is a kayak for your use, as well as Cruiser bikes for riding the long ocean-front path only a couple of minutes away. The rooms are comfortable and there is a great patio overlooking the water. Mark and Julie made every effort to provide for us, and they took excellent care of our own house.
We love this beautiful and comfortable home in a wonderful area of Sedona. The views from the living room, kitchen, and patio are breath taking. It is very peaceful and relaxing, but there is also a lot to do. We especially enjoyed the many hikes in Sedona. John and Debby are very hospitable and took great care of our home.
We exchanged recently with this family, and enjoyed their home a great deal. It is in a wonderful location, right on the water, and just across from the beach. Our children absolutely loved taking rides in the 2-person kayak docked just behind the patio, and cruising around the harbor area. The home was very comfortable for our family of 4. Julie and Mark were a pleasure to exchange with, and left our condo in great shape when they departed. We can certainly recommend them as exchange partners!
We loved our exchange at this special Coronado condo. The home is very comfortable and the ocean view is beautiful. We enjoyed walking on the beach, swimming, playing tennis and bike riding. It was a pleasure to exchange with Darci and her family and they left our home very neat and clean. This was a wonderful exchange and we appreciate all the hospitality!
We enjoyed a two week stay in Julie and Mark's condo on Huntington Harbour in August of 2012. The condo is ideally located directly on the harbour, and from the terrace we enjoyed the wonderful views of the boats and private homes. The complex has beautiful gardens, and is very well maintained. The 2 pool areas are great places to relax after a day on the road, or at the beach. We made use of their cruiser style bikes, and also our inline skates that we brought with us. We made one overnight stop in San Diego where we visited the famous Zoo, and the Safari Park. Close to the condo, we visited Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach and Newport Beach, where we enjoyed the beaches, saw the sights, and shopped. The girls (Aged 10/12) took surfing lessons at Seal Beach for a morning, and we were all surprised at how well they did (M&M Surf School). The condo, which is ideal for a couple, was also fine for our two God daughters who shared the sofa bed. The cool evening breezes in the area kept us comfortable overnight, and we were surprised that the daytime temps were also cooler than expected. Disneyland theme parks and Downtown Disney are a short drive away and are a must see for folks with children, or the young at heart. Julie and Mark were great to deal with in organizing our exchange. Their daughter Theresa was very helpful as well as our hosts were also away on exchange in Europe. Don't miss the Sunday brunch at the yacht club next door. For great restaurants nearby, try the Firepit Pizza, and also the Secret Spot for some simple, cheap and creative meals, many of which are Mexican favorites. Specials every day including $0.99 taco night. Their car was great for us four, with lots of room for beach gear etc. We really enjoyed meeting the friendly neighbours, and a highlight was a memorable "Duffy" tour of the harbour. All of our meals at the condo were enjoyed out doors on the terrace. We look forward to their visit to Shediac, and recommend them as exchange partners.
