Greetings to Exchangers
I am a retired educator and my husband works in the optical field. This natural wonderland has been close to his heart since childhood. Fishing, hiking, and golfing are the draws of this area. We found our home which was once a phone utility switching station that had been converted to a home/business s
ite and is now our mountain respite for friends and family. It is turn-key and comfortable with beautiful views of Eureka Peak. Its accessibility to so much beauty, recreation, and convenience makes it an easy place to visit. You can cook in or bring home take-out; we have one of the best decks for dining in the warm weather or watching the stars at night, or napping during the day. We come here year round and are just as comfortable inside with good books, movies, games, and home-cooked meals. We have bicycles or snowshoes, pick your pleasure. It is generally pleasant and snow-free in November. December through March are easy for traveling as roads are plowed regularly.
When we travel, we love the western and northern states especially Hawaii, the Southwest, and all of California. We would love to visit more regions in Europe, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
June 1 — June 1, 2015
We are open to all destinations.
What came before us? That is always of interest in travel. Learning about a region, it's history, culture and inhabitants, will never disappoint. Experiencing a beautiful and unique place, uncovering layers of facts and discerning from diverse perspectives, this is a passion! What compelled predecessors to create and how to live? We follow that thread throughout our journeys.
