"To travel is to live" - H.C. Andersen
We are Juni (*1962) and Thorbjørn (*1963). Mostly, we travel with our daughter Laura (*1996) - and sometimes with our eldest daughter Signe (*1990), her boyfriend Martin (*1986) - and for the future also our grand daughter (*2015).
We love as well cultural experiences as the beauty of nature. Our holidays together have been in Europa and the US, and we have had three very pleasant experience with HomeExchange. Our own house includes a cute little cat, and we would be happy to look after your cat (or other friendly animal) as well.

For us, a new country is something we taste and smell. Some of our best holiday memories are the pancakes in the provencale sun and the steaming steaks of Wyoming (photo).
We had a wunderfull time is this cozy house, in a beautiful neighborhood very close to the city centre of Kobenhavn with a sweet and lovely cat Vespa! Highly recommended for people who want to discover Copenhagen! Thorbjørn, Juni and Laura were absolutely wonderful with us during our exchange, they gave us lots of tips and recommendations of activities and touristic tips. They also took very good care of our house. Thanks for this great great swap!
We stayed over Xmas in Nancy and Renes homely brick house in the Den Haag outskirts. Great feeling, cute cat not to forget the considerate preparations from our exchange family. Easy public transportation to the city, easy shopping access and we spent a wonderful day riding bikes to Delft, and the dining possibilities in Den Haag and Scheweningen were excellent. On our return we found our house in perfect shape and well taken care - a wonderful first exchange experience.
We are delighted by our first exchange with Juni and Thornbjorn. We enjoyed every moments of our stay. Their charming cosy house is located in a lovely flowery neighborhood with a "village" atmosphere. Perfect to discover Copenhagen : you can easily walk or cycle to the city center and most major attractions. It is an ideal family destination. They had prepared everything so that we made the most of our stay : useful information, transport, toys for the children, bicycles, etc. We enjoyed the company of their friendly cat Vespa. We've always felt welcomed :-) Moreover, they have been the perfect guests, kind and considerate, they took really good care of our house and car :-) We had 2 great weeks in Copenhagen. Merci beaucoup !!!
We passed two wonderful weeks in this spacious and well equiped home in Villeneuve. We were three adults and had a great time - enjoying the summer weather, the air conditioning, the kitchen and the cat Félix. Their house is perfectly placed in a calm and non-touristic village with all amenities (supermarket, bakery, fish-monger and weekly market) - close to the unique marsh nature and a perfect mediterrenean beach - and with only a few kilometres to entertaining tourist centres as Sète and Montpellier. Our co-operation with Nathalie and David were pleasant and easy, and they helped us in every possible way to make our stay comfortable. As guests, Nathalie and David as well as the two kids has left our house and cat in perfect shape, and we would warmly recommend them to anyone as exchange partners.
We spent a delightful week at Juni and and Thorbjørn’s home last April. The circumstances were a bit particular. A couple of weeks before, a Home-Exchange member in Copenhagen cancelled the swap we had arranged months earlier, and we found ourselves with non-refundable plane tickets and no place to stay. We wrote dozens of SOS mails, and Juni and Thorbjørn kindly answered with an offer to help us out for one of the two scheduled weeks, although they were to be at home in the evening and could not come over to Paris until this autumn. They gave us a warm welcome and treated us to a nice dinner prepared by Thorbjørn. We discussed lots of common interests ranging from music to education or politics. They managed to make us feel comfortable, so that we never felt we were in their way although we shared the bathroom. Their large cosy house is located in a quiet area, with public transport just a few minutes away and everything worth visiting within easy reach. We were delighted with the exchange, and were very happy to meet them again in Paris last month. We warmly recommend anyone wishing to discover the Danish capital to arrange an exchange with Juni and Thorbjørn.
Our exchange with Alice and Francois was a treat in every way! Their flat was perfect for us - cosy, well equipped, and situated in a pleasant and well-kept part of Paris with easy and smooth public transport just around the corner. The food stores nearby were a special attraction for gourmands, as we must admit to be, and we enjoyed shopping groceries, seafood, and wine practicing our broken French with some very patient and humorous shop keepers. The contact with Alice and Francois has been very smooth and amicable. All communication on mail and text messages has been prompt, clear, and straight forward, and their hospitality has been endless. We are delighted to recommend Alice and Francois as hosts, guests and exchange partners!
