We had a wonderful stay at this home in wine country. The view is spectacular over the vineyard and Lake Okanagan, the pictures on the listing don't do it justice, you've got to see it to believe it. Al and Jackie were great communicators and we easily set up our 5 day exchange with several emails and a phone call. The house is very bright, spacious and clean with a nice open plan. You'll find everything you could possibly need in the well equipped kitchen. Our group of 9 was very comfortable in this large home, with lots of room for personal space. Our group consisted of golfers, sailors, wine buffs, hikers and children. Kelowna has something to offer everyone. It was an easy walk to 2 beautiful wineries and so many more in close driving distance. If you like birds there are many beautiful birds visiting the feeders that we enjoyed watching over our morning cofffee. Paradise. Our home was treated with care and just as clean as we had left it. We've done 9 exchanges and this is at the top of our list of places we'd love to return to. Andrea, Bruce, Carly and Danielle

What we said about Andrea Bruce Carly Danielle ABCD's house:

We have just completed an exchange that will be impossible to replicate. The experience was absolutely wonderful, starting with a 40 minute car ferry ride through scenic islands and arriving at Gibsons; a modern village well equipped with boutiques, delis and gourmet dining options. Ideal for visitors. The home we stayed in is something out of a travel magazine. I didn't expect a log home to be so open with large windows for 360 degree views of B.C.s incredible west coast. This modern home has all the comforts and conveniences possible. The property is surrounded by other residences but feels like you are all alone. Truly magical. We even had deer visit us in the backyard. Bruce and Andrea with their two daughters enjoy a life style that is enviable. Thanks for the opportunity to "experience" your home. I hope we have a chance to return. Al & Jackie

We had the pleasure of staying in Al and Jackie's home for 6 days in July 2014. Firstly, we got to meet them both, enjoyed a wonderful dinner savoured with some Okanargan wines. They were the perfect hosts and we have so much in common. Their home is just perfect. Beautifully maintained, lovely furnishings, very comfortable beds and has every amenity that you require for the best exchange. Everything worked beautifully, the kitchen had every appliance and gadget required for cooking. Jackie is meticulous about the care and presentation of her home. We had a wonderful 6 days here. Explored the wineries, went bike riding The Kettle Valley rail line, savoured copious amounts of wine over great BBQ's(grills) from their deck area which has stunning views of the lake and Quails Gate winery below. What was very special was that Al has a flag pole and he had hoisted the Australian flag for our arrival! What a wonderful touch. We would recommend Al and Jackie to any future exchangee. This home exchange was up there with the best and we have done over 18. We had a ball.

We have been Home Exchangers for over ten years with twenty two exchanges either experienced or pending. Jackie and Al's home in Kelowna was a dream vacation. From the lovely welcome package to the breath taking view of world class Quail's Gate Vineyard, Lake Okanagan and the foot hills beyond. Cloudless blue skies afforded us the opportunity to drink our fill of bright orange sunrises and mauve/ pink sunsets. The house was spacious and well laid out with every amenity and spectacular views from every window. There was so much to do that we didn't complete half of our list. Fresh water beaches, hiking and biking trails, excellent restaurants, theater and art galleries. A definite "Two Thumbs Way Up".

What we said about Lee and Jeannie Manning's house:

This was our 11th home exchange. We have had several fantastic experiences but none to compare with Lee and Jennnie's home in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The bar has definitely been raised to a new height. Their home is special, with all the modern conveniences in a very cozy atmosphere. We were immediatley at home and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The hot tub and fireplace on the deck just added that extra touch of comfort. Niagara is an exceptional place to visit and we are envious of those who get to live there. The shops, cafes, theatres, bike paths and of course vineyards and wineries make this a unique destination. Truly exceptional. Jackie and Al Kelowna
