We love travelling and we have been to Australia, the States, South Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore and a lot of European countries ... and we can't wait to discover more!!
We all love sports but also really enjoy hanging around as a family ...just enjoying life!
So far we have done six exchanges and loved absolutely everything about these unique experiences!
March 1 — March 1, 2016
We are tied to school holidays.
March 2 — Any time

We love hitting the beach! Irina, being a born and bred Mediterenean girl, is crazy about beaches, sea, waves etc. and has passed this passion on to the rest of the family. So if you live close to a beach, let's talk!
Irina and Thorsten's house is modern, roomy and stylish. It is very comfortable and in a good position situated in a small town just outside Mainz. Nearby is a tram stop with a regular fast service into Mainz. Also, the house is a convenient centre for touring up and down the Rhine. The garden is sunny and has an excellent barbecue. We enjoyed meeting Irina, Thorsten and their family and they took great care of our house.
We spent a wonderful holiday in Nic's and Jean's amazing place. The house is huge and lovely and we felt very much at home. We enjoyed spending time in this fabulous garden and loved preparing meals in their beautiful kitchen. There are lovely beaches within half an hour reach and we did many day trips in Devon and Cornwall. We were very happy to meet Nic and Jean after the exchange! This was our first exchange and it couldn't have been any better!
We loved this exchange. Irina, Thorsten and family were wonderful exchange partners. They took great care of our house and car and were always on hand if needed with great advice and tips for our exchange. Their home was lovely and was ideally situated, with a tram station about a minute walk from their house, which brought us into the beautiful city of Mainz. We spent time driving along the Rhein and stopping off at many of the beautiful little villages for long lazy lunches or for ice cream and coffee. We visited Frankfurt, Koblenz and many other wonderful places. Their location enabled us to sightsee, shop, hike, visit amusement parks and much more. As always, the german people were helpful and friendly and as virtually everybody speaks perfect English, communication was never a problem. We are a family of six, and each of us loved this exchange and we would highly recommend them:-)
Pauline and Paul's house is spacious, modern and very comfortable. It has a lovely kitchen, a jaccuzzi in the bathroom and a beautiful huge garden. It's a real family home and we loved it! During our whole stay the weather was sunny and crisp and there was no rain at all. This was our first trip to Ireland and we were very impressed with the beautiful scenery and the pittoresque villages. The Irish are so friendly and travelling with children is very relaxed. Pauline and Paul are lovely people and they took great clare of our house.
We enjoyed our stay in Mainz during a long week end in springtime very much. The house is very spacious and comfortable, with a friendly garden. We felt like home. We visited Mainz and little villages alongside the Rhine. It's woth the visit. Thank you Irina for your warm hospitality. Frédérique.
Paris - the City of Love... And which better place to stay than a lovely apartment just a few Metro stops away from Notre Dame? Frederique's apartment is very cosy and comfortable and it is ideally located in Belleville and it even has a small garden. There are nice restaurants and shops as soon as you leave the apartment complex, and just a few steps away you will find the Metro Station. We loved our stay in Paris doing all the sights in the Heart of the City as well as Versailles Castle. Frederique is a fantastic hostess and exchange Partner and she took great care of our house.
This summer we’ve enjoyed a nice holidays in Germany. The house of Irina, Torsten, Yannis and Sofia is very beautiful and it has a very funny garden. Irina and Torsten have helped us with everything and that has been made us to have an excellent holidays. The house is very well located and allowed us to visit many places how Mainz, Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Luxemburg, and the most beautiful towns near the river Rhine and Moselle. They are excellent exchange partners because they helped us to be happy in Mainz and they had a good care of our home.
We had a fantastic time in Cardedeu! Maribel and Ramon's home is stylish, cosy and spacious and we felt instantely at home! Cardedeu is just around the corner from Barcelona and very close to some lovely beaches. Our favourite beaches were Sant Pol de Mar and El Masnou. We were lucky to be staying there for the Fiesta Major in Cardedeu which was a great and very unique experience and exactly the reason why we love homeexchange.... Because you live like a local :-) Maribel and Ramon were perfect exchange partners, supportive, helpful and inspiring. They treated our home with respect and care and we are happy and grateful to have had this holiday! Irina, Thorsten, Yannis and Sofia
We had a wonderful week in the Autumn of 2014 in Mainz. The house of Irina and Thorsten is spacious, light and modern. All five of us felt immediately at home and I especially loved the fully equipped, modern kitchen :-) We visited some wineries (a must-do), had the greatest Flammkuchen in the local restaurant and shopped in Frankfurt. This family left our house in perfect state and are very warm, friendly and wonderful exchange partners. Irina and I still keep in touch!
Yvonne and Jos' house is spacious, comfortable and cosy and it is ideally located to explore Brabant. We had a wonderful autumn holiday and loved every second of it. Long walks, lovely lunches and shopping trips to Tilburg and Den Bosch were on the agenda. We also went to Amsterdam which is just about an hour away and the children loved the zoo with the exotic animals and the Minigolf in the Dark :-) Yvonne and Jos are perfect exchange partners, we felt very much at home in their house and they took extreme good care of ours. Thank you so much Yvonne, Jos,Esme, Sänne and Mattis for a wonderful exchange...
Irina and Thorsten - thank you for a great holiday. You all made us feel very welcome in your beautiful home. It is a great base to explore and there was so much to see. The house is only a few minutes walk from the tram although we found driving very easy in Germany so didn't use it much. We did manage a Rhine cruise which was stunning and also went to Munich for a few days. We loved Frankfurt for shopping and Heidelberg was a favourite. There were a lot of local restaurants to walk to and we even tried the beer garden which was only 5 minutes away. Our home was well looked after when we were away and we would happily recommend this immaculate home exchange! Thank you again and lets stay in touch.
We had a wonderful time in Yorkshire! Suzanne's and George's is beautiful and spacious and we felt very much at home there. As the English weather was very kind to us we could also enjoy their pretty garden. We visited a lot of abbeys and cute little towns nearby and went hiking in Ilkley Moor and Brimham Rocks. The scenery is stunning and there is so much to do! We even made our way up North and spent a couple of days in Edinburgh and the Highlands, which was fantastic. Suzanne and George are great exchange partners, very helpful and supportive. They left our house in meticulous condition. Thank you all for the brilliant holiday!!!
