- Tracy Retired Teacher (64)
- Janet Retired Teacher (60)
Hello from Puyallup, Washington.
Tracy and Janet are both 60ish and recently retired elementary school teachers. We taught in Jakarta, Indonesia for four years from 1990-1994. We like to keep active (Janet aereobicizes daily and Tracy is a former high school football official and current disc golfer). We are passionate about traveling, exploring new places and meeting new people.
Daughter Haley is 31 is a Prosecuting attorney. Son Quinn, is 29 and is currently the youngest full time Major League Umpire. And with his connections, we can always score free MLB tickets at Safeco Field. The bad news is...you have to watch the currently dreadful Mariners play!
Our cat, Gizmo, makes up the rest of our family. He is a handsome animal, seems somewhat confused or dim-witted. He is very shy. Someone will feed him if you're gone overnight.
Our exchange party will probably consist of my wife and myself. We have participated in somewhere around 15 previous exchanges, six in the United States and two to Germany and another to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and can provide references from many of these exchanges.

My friend and I (ladies in our 60's) just returned from a flawless home and car exchange in Puyallup, USA. Tracy and Janet were very accomodating, prepared, leaft copious notes and quick to reply to all emails, which set up the good flow to the exchange. Exchanging cars, meant that we were walk-on passengers on the Coho ferry, on both ends for both couples, which meant saving alot of money to spend on other experiences and most of all...the hassel. Their lovely, clean, tidy and user friendly home is located in a safe feeling, neighbourly area. It is in close proximity to shopping, eating out and anything else that comes to mind. We asked directions several times just to be sure, at local gas stations and people were only too friendly to help.Their cats were not a problem and easy care. We would highly recommend this home and people for an exchange.Jan and Joan #62889 Victoria, BC, Canada
We had the wonderful experience of exchanging with Janet Campbell/Bergen from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada recently. We exchanged over the Labor Day long weekend. Our exchange was fairly complicated as we chose to exchange cars as well. This entailed setting up meeting times at the ferry terminal in Port Angeles, Washington on both Friday and Monday. Janet was always quick to respond and easy to work with. Meeting her and her traveling companion, Joan, at the restaraunt in Port Angeles was fun as we discussed past and future exchanges. When we stepped off the ferry in Victoria, Janet\'s car was parked across the street with a large pink sign on the dash with my name on it. It couldn\'t be missed. Janet\'s townhouse was clean, roomy and very convenient to the city (10 minutes or less in the light Victoria traffic). She had left us an anniversary card and a nice bottle of wine. There was a packet of Victoria information sitting on her coffee table. And she had left some nice exchange touches, like laminated washing machine directions.I encourage anyone wanting to visit the lovely city of Victoria to consider an exchange with Janet. She does it right.Tracy & Janet Wolcott September 2009 30th Anniversary Exchange Trip
We exchanged this summer with Janet and Tracy Wolcott's just outside Seattle in the town of Puyallup Washington. If you are looking to tour the Northwest region of the US then the Wolcott's is the perfect home base. They picked us up at the airport and even cooked dinner for us that night! The home is in a very quite sub-division close to shopping and the main interstates. The home was very comfortable and inviting. We loved the newly remodeled kitchen and the back deck and yard were great for outdoor dining. The cats were very friendly and our girls really enjoyed playing with them. Tracy and Janet have a wealth of information from maps to guide books to help you plan out your activities while there. We made trips to Victoria BC-Portland OR- Mt. Rainer-and the Olympic National Park, our favorite place. We also enjoyed the local weekend market in Puyallup which is just minutes from their house. This was one of our more enjoyable vactions. The experience of saying in a home is far superior to a hotel (take it from someone who stays in them 80-100 nights per year). We are looking forward to our next exchange and are glad that the Wolcott's provided a great first experience.Paul Hosford
We completed a wonderful exchange with Paul and Barbara Hosford from the Atlanta, GA area this summer. It was our fifth and their first and it went off without a hitch. After a number of emails, we talked on the phone and agreed on the times and logistics. They flew out to Seattle a day ahead of us where we picked them up at the airport. It was great to finally meet them and their two lovely (but extremely quiet and well mannered) daughters. They dropped us off at the airport the following day.Their house in Atlanta was beautiful, elegant and huge! We had forewarned them that our house did not measure up to theirs. My wife took pictures of their living room decorations and used their draperies as models for our new drapes. Because we were going to be traveling to Alabama for much of our time, they offered us hotel vouchers for 6 nights stay at Hilton Hotels in Alabama. Paul even made the reservations for us. Paul programmed many of the attractions that we were planning on visiting into his GPS system. That took much of the stress out of navigating throughout Georgia and Alabama. At the end of our exchange, my wife flew back but I stayed and rented a car and toured through North and South Carolina. Paul even allowed me to keep the GPS and mail it back to him upon my arrival back in Washington.By all means, if you get a chance to exchange with Paul and Barbara in Canton, Georgia, we would highly recommend the experience.Janet & Tracy WolcottJuly 2009 Exchangees
