We use to spend the New Year's Eve in A'dam these last few years, we love it !
We stayed at Carine and Ronald's flat in Brussels for one week. It's in a quiet residential area and easy to access to the centre by bus. The apartment was very charming with antique furniture and it had very warm feeling. There was always plenty of sunshine in the flat that made us comfortable. We travelled with our 2 year-old-son and he was well entertained by the toys that they let him play. They also left lots of tips and maps where to eat and go in Brussels which was useful. When we came back home, our flat was as it was when we left. Very clean and tidy. They were very respectful to our apartment and polite. We were very lucky to have an opportunity to exchange with Carine and Ronald. They are very experienced in exchange apartments and they answered all the questions we had. Our first exchange was absolutely successful. Thank you very much!!
Much has been said about Berlin so lets focus on our swap. Ai and Joav are great hosts and their apartment is very cosy, comfortable and pretty well designed with vintage furniture. It's also ideally located in one of the nicest and trendiest districts in town: Prenzlauer Berg! Many creative people, artists and young parents live there and you'll find at a throw's stone away a lot of cool bars, restaurants, shops and quiet parks. It's also very well served by public transportation (S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations at 2 minutes walk) but, if you prefer (and we did), 2 bikes are at your disposal. Berlin is such a safe cycling city! In a nutshell, we had a great time in Berlin and we would definitively recommend staying at Ai and Joav place. Moreover, our house was tidy and clean when we came back. What more should we expect for a successful swap? Thank you Ai & Joav!
