Home in San Francisco for home exchange. Generally we seek interesting urban places with culture and activities. We look to exchange for a minimum of 3 weeks or so (to make it worth our while).
We are a couple who enjoys trips to places that pique our interest. Recently we went to Barcelona for a 3-week home exchange followed by 2 weeks traveling to and in Nice, France. Previously we went to Ecuador for a 4-week home exchange, and Morocco for 5 a week tour. We enjoy outdoor activities, such as hiking, golf and bike riding. We prefer seeing movies on The Big Screen rather than watching at home, which makes us something of an anomaly these days. Dee enjoys theater and ballet; Ben enjoys a variety of music, especially jazz. We are both Giants baseball fans -- in good years and in bad.
March 2 — April 1, 2016 These dates are flexible
We would prefer a simultaneous exchange as our home would be available only while we are gone. We are mostly interested in a home that is near to the center of Sydney.
We really enjoy traveling to foreign countries. We take care to meet the local people and find ways to share our experiences.
We had a wonderful exchange with Ben and Dee. Their home is beautiful and welcoming and really is in the perfect location. Great neighborhood for walking and easy access to public transportation. We hated to leave after a month! Ben and Dee took excellent care of our home. They are great exchange partners!
We really enjoyed our exchange with Barb & Bill. First, they were great to work with and gave us good tips and advice for this, our first home exchange. Upon arriving in Cuenca we found that their apartment was VERY nice. It was a remodeled modern apartment that had a warm and inviting feeling. The living room with a wall of windows that let you look out to the mountains in the distance created a lovely space with lots of light. The 3 bedrooms and 2 baths are well-designed for accommodating guests. As described in their posting, the apartment was in a great location in the central historical area. It was easy to get to anywhere in the historical Cuenca area, either by walking or taxi. We found that it was a wonderful home to come back to at the end of the day. A wonderful bonus is that the building owner (who lives in one of the building’s beautifully redone apartments) was very helpful in dealing with any difficulties we had and that the other tenants in the building were also very nice and helpful. We give Barb and Bill, and their apartment, two thumbs up.
