We had a great exchange near Paris in their lovely house. We felt very welcome due to the hospitality of this nice family. Sylvie arranged food and drinks for us and the children upon arrival. We enjoyed the house and garden very much. it was all very well equipped and decorated. We loved to take care of the three cats, the rabbit and the fishes. Two bathrooms were very comfortable when you travel with four children. The neighbourhood is very quiet and easy to acces. The bakery is only two minutes away! Of course the city of Paris is the main attraction but Disneyland is also very close and Sylvie was so kind to arrange tickets with discount! This family is a very clean and reliable family and I can suggest an exchange with them very much! We would really like to come back here!

What we said about Chantal's house:

We spent a fantastic week by Chantal and Gerard. Vinkeveen is a so lovely location, with a lot of typical houses just in front of water, surrouded by the nature every where. Their house is like the houses you can see in the magazines, well decorated, well equiped with all modern appliances, very cozy with a fantastic view on small canals. The "parents" bedroom is a fantastic private place in the house , with a great bathroom , a high ceiling and a direct view on the garden and water. We had a lot of pleasure to stay in the livingroom after a long day in Amsterdam and to cook in the spacious kitchen. Amsterdam is very close with the car, but if you come without car , you can take the bus (a few minutes walk from the house) in direction to the train station and go then to Amsterdam. Their garden is a precious space just in front of water, you can use a small canoe to discover the small canals and apreciate the beauty of this particular location. Chantal, Gerald and children are a very lovely family , they take care of our house and especially of our cats, and as we come back in our house, all was so clean and tidy. We recommand particulary this family and house for an exchange and we will re-do an exchange with them as soon as possible Sylvie , Montigny le Bretonneux, France

We did two fantastic exchanges with this nice and welcoming family. The last one, we have had the chance to see Versailles under “Les grandes eaux”, a spectacular experience! The house is lovely, quiet and well placed close to Paris and Versailles. It's nice because you can alternate trips into the busy city with relaxing times in and around the home. You will have the advantages of both capital and countryside! We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace, in the morning. The family agreed we received some friends at home, so nice. We highly recommend you to exchange with this freindly family! Pascale & Didier

We highly recommend exchanging Sylvie and family. They did everything they could to make our exchange a wonderful experience from leaving a lovely meal, to treats for the kids and a little birthday gift for our youngest! They very kindly offered to find discounted tickets it EuroDisney. Their home is very nicely presented and clean, the cats are delightful and they left our home in immaculate condition. As others have noted, the home is very well located for Paris and surrounding attractions. A great exchange.

What we said about Rory's house:

We had a fantastic exchange in St Albans, with Rory, Tara, Edward, Alistair and the cat Kimba, the house is very comfortable, with a lot of space for a family, and it was very practical to have 2 bathrooms. All the house is decorated with a lot of taste, with a lot of authentics furnitures. Tara prepared for us a very good meal, that we appreciate a lot after the journey from Montigny to St Albans. St Albans is a very charming city, and only at 20 minutes of London by the express train. We did not practically use our car during our stay and went every day to the station on foot. No need to look at train times before going to the station, there are so many trains in direction to London and very often direct. The house is very quiet, and the garden so lovely with a lot of trees where we saw some times some Squirrels. By returning we found a very clean and welcoming house. We deeply recommend this family for an exchange. We would redo an exchange with them without hesitating if they asked to us for it. We enjoyed so much our stay in their home !!

This was our first exchange and it was wonderful! First, the house was very nice and our hosts went out of their way to have it well prepared. They are clearly experienced exchangers. Everything was labeled, easy to find and straightforward. They even left a bottle of wine and other nice welcoming gifts. When we had trouble finding the key (due to our own error) the neighbors Sylvie had available to help us understanding and wonderful. The house is very spacious, light and very well decorated. We enjoyed feeding the bunny! Also, as first time exchangers, Sylvie was and has been a pleasure to deal with. She helped us through the process, was understanding at our mistakes and represented this wonderful community so well. Because we were in the process of moving into our place in Seoul we didn't know all the ins and outs of the apartment and it was furnished minimally. The Ng family was very kind and gracious about understanding the situation. You couldn't ask for a better exchange partner. The house is very convenient for visiting Versailles and everything southwest of Paris (I recommend a day trip to Chartres). As Sylvie recognizes, it takes a bit of time to get into Paris and back out on public transport. For us this was not a problem. Having lived in and around Paris we understood this and are used to it. Just have a reasonable plan for that and Paris is definitely doable from their place as well. If there were a star rating system we would give this whole experience 5 out of 5. Thanks so much!

What we said about Ryan's house:

It was our first exchange in Asia, and it was a very fantastic exchange !! The appartment is big , bright, confortable, and near all public transportation. It was easy to reach the center of seoul with the bus and Underground. Very calm and safe location near the Ansan Mountain. We had very pleasant relationships with Ryan and his family, and he help us to organise our stay in Seoul. The neighbors were kind and helped us for a problem of fuses. We had a very great week there and we recommend this family for an exchange. Seoul is a fantastic Séoul is a fantastic destination, people are so kind wherever. The city is a harmonious mixture of modernity and traditions, where the green spaces are omnipresent.

A wonderful experience that we will never forget. Specially the children. If you want to enjoy culture and people, Paris and Versailles are only a few minutes driving . However, if you just like relax, you can delight in the garden of the house or walk along the quiet trails along the forest in the neighbourhood. Thank you for letting us enjoy your lovely home.

I was able to host this charming family for several days in my home. They were so respectful and kind, always being quite wonderful guests. We shared some delightful conversation together. One evening they purchased all the ingredients and cooked a delicious meal in my kitchen and on the outside BBQ which they shared with me. It was sad they could not have stayed longer as we enjoyed each other so much.

What we said about Marilyn's house:

We spent 2 lovely days/nights in the house of Marilyn. Marilyn hosted us for 2 nights during our trip in South California. She was a so kind hostess !! We were 5 and had a lot of space in this big and tidy house. When we arrived late in the evening, Marilyn prepared for us a delicious dinner, and the jaccuzi at the "good temperature". So great after a long day in Los Angeles ! She was so welcoming, We spoke a lot with her and it was like we knew her for a long time. In the morning we took the breakfast near the pool ,outside, it was like at the paridise a lot of trees, birds, flowers...and a sunny sky, like usualy in south California Her house is very confortable and spacious, ideal for a family, and the kitchen is so well equiped, all you need to cook is there, the garden with the pool and jacuzzi is a fantastic place to stay after a long day in LA or Disneyland, Around the house, all is green, safe and quiet. Irvine is a great city near fantastic beaches, We recommand highly an exchange with Marilyn and thank her so much for all she made for us during our short stay

This was our first non-US exchange and we could not have picked better exchange hosts. Sylvie and family have done many exchanges and she helped us every step of the way to get the best Home Guide together and was willing to tweek her dates so they fit with ours. Montigny le Bretonneaux is a perfect and very easy place not just to see fabulous Paris (see pix) but, as we had a car, to explore wonderful sites like Versailles (see pix) - take a picnic to really enjoy the gardens, Fontainbleau, Monet's House and Gardens, Le Mont Saint Michele in Normandy , the battlefields of Verdun, Chartres (walk the labyrinthe on Fridays) and the many lovely parks very near the house (including the Abbey des Vaux in Cernay). The beautiful Loire Valley is within reach. The house is spacious and very comfortable with a lovely garden (see lunch pix) where their adorable rabbit will delight your children and their cats rule the roost! We could walk to nearby neighborhood shops for the fantastic daily baguettes, cute restaurants and other small shops for food and liquor. Trains run into Paris from two nearby stations. Neighbors stopped by to chat. We knew we were in the right hands when we discovered on leaving the US that our cat would need medication (a did Sylvie’s) and Sylvie volunteered to get him through. We were especially grateful when shortly after our arrival when our rental car blew a tire, the Engs took time out from packing to rescue us and help us to get another car. All in all - a wonderful exchange with some really wonderful people!

A charming and lovely family who stayed at our house during the last week of October 2014. This was the first occasion for us but we were unable to arrange a simultaneous exchange as we had made other plans to be in Wales for that week. They were very respectful and took great care of our home. Sylvie made us a wonderful boeuf bourguignon - the family took part in our village bonfire night party and made us lovely cakes. Sylvie's husband swept up leaves for us. We would be very happy to exchange or have them stay with us again. Recommended exchangers.

sylvie and Family
What we said about lawrence's house:

We done a fanstastic non-simultaneous exchange by Lawrence. His house is marvelous ; a big and confortable house, with all modern appliances, a fantastic kitchen where we cooked a lot (an amazing Lacanche piano de cuisine) and a delightful garden where we took a cup of coffee every morning. When we arrived in Marston Meysey, a small village near Swindon, Lawrence and his friend Fiona were in the kitchen to prepare us a great dinner, Lasagne, home bread, Victoria cake, etc… they were so welcoming and we enjoyed this very good meal, and at the end of the week, when we came very late from London, we found a meal (traditional pork roasted with old vegetables , a Lawrence’s speciality) in the oven and appreciated it so much (Lawrence lived in his small cottage near his house for the week-end) We done a lot of exchanges near London but never in this part of UK and it was a great opportunity to explore this lovely area (Oxford and other cities or villages of the Cotswolds) and their particular houses with antic stones and to have a terrific “afternoon tea” in a small Teeroom Lucy's in the beautiful village “Stow on the Wold”. During the week-end we met Lawrence for the Bonfire and fireworks he organized with people of his village in his big garden and had a front-row seat to admire this show. We had the chance to meet a lot of Lawrence's friends during this event and it was realy nice for us to have the possibility to discuss with them. We recommend highly an exchange with Lawrence, he was a perfect host for us, his house is an amazing place to be and we had the chance to speak French with him and Fiona. They are totally French language and good food fans, a great opportunity for us to exchange with them. A fantastic experience of sharing !

We were so lucky to exchange with Sylvie & her family - it was our very 1st exchange ever and they guided us through it so kindly as we were quite nervous! It was just for several days in October school holidays and a chance for us to visit Disneyland Paris (making good use of their local residents' access cards), Paris and Versailles. We drove over. We didn't realise that etiquette was to leave a nice meal for arrival so were embarrassed to find a beautifully laid table with wine & delicious chicken for us as well as a fully stocked fridge on arrival! We just had to leave a nice meal for their return trip. Sylvie was so kind to send on various little bits that my children had left behind - a Disney souvenir etc - and communication was & has even remained great with emails about recipes, whatsapp advice on subsequent house exchanging etc. The family is a fabulous example of the Home Exchanging community!!!! xx

What we said about Caroline's house:

We done a fantastic exchange with Caroline and Glenn, the house was so welcoming, all was well prepared for our arrival and Glenn cooked us a awesome dinner!! the house is amaizing, we were so happy to stay there, so much space, a beautiful kitchen with all we needed to cook, a lot of bedrooms and bathrooms, an ideal house for a "big" family and the garden was a very lovely one, like english people know to do it, a perfect place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee after a busy day in London The location is perfect to explore London and the countryside too, easy access to the the train station and London, we used the train every day to reach London, very fast and simple the neighborhood is very green and safe, a perfect place to be in a precious and residential area in the middle of the nature and so close to the city It was a pleasure to "talk" with Caroline and Glenn, they were perfect hosts and took care of our house with a lot of attention we loved a lot our exchangen with Caroline, Glenn and children, we recommand an exchange with this family and hope to come back in this beautiful house in the future, it was so great to have the privilege to stay there !

We were made very welcome and Sylvie is a fantastic host, she helped us get tickets to Disneyland and when we arrived at the house there was a lot of French cheese, bread and wine waiting for us :-) all in all an excellent exchange experience. We can highly recommend a swap and Sylvie made the whole process very straight forward and easy.
