What a great experience! We went in July. When we arrived at the airport, there was someone to pick us up and give us extra info! Eugene and Carolyn have an amazing house, very well organised and comfortable with a great, quiet garden with HOT TUB. (we even saw a few deer when we woke up) As we call it: 'the real American experience'. Olympia is a very nice city with good restaurants and a beatiful park with waterfalls. You should also really visit Seattle when you're in Olympia. Although it's a very big city, it's somehow cosy. And of course go and visit Vancouver and Victoria in British Columbia. You can do it by train or by car. It's really worth the drive! We also went to Gene and Carolyn's beach condo in Neskowin, Oregon. What a great view! There's a beautiful beach and some nice seafood. When you've got any time left, you certainly must go hike in the Olympic National Park. It's stunning. We also went camping there, highly recommended! We want to thank Gene and Carolyn for a great experience and also for all the help with the planning, the camping gear and the information about things to do. And thanks a lot for taking care of our cat. They are wonderful hosts! We are certainly coming back! Lisa, Cecile and Tiger, Antwerp

What we said about Cecile&Lisa's house:

What a wonderful home! The 3 of us enjoyed Cecile's home fro two weeks in July, 2014. It is a classic home in Antwerp--- very fun for us because it IS Belgian, and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed several dinners on the deck overlooking the garden area--- SO beautiful with plants etc. and GREAT for a glass of wine after seeing sights in Antwerp. Antwerp offers a lot to see and do, including the Market Square, MAS and riverfront areas, the Meir shopping district, etc. and the train station is a work of art--- and just a short walk from the house. We really enjoyed a Morroccan Restaurant, about 2 blocks down the street. The supermarket (actually, a local market--- a lot bigger than it looks from the outside), is just around the corner. It has a great deli, bakery, and all the usual Belgian goodies like beers, chocolates, etc. We also were able to go to Brussels (only 30 minutes by train) which is Fantastic, and be sure to do Sandeman's Europe Tour there--- which is a no-cost, tips-only Tour--- and of course go to medieval Bruges for a few days, and of course you have to go to Amsterdam!! All of this and more is easily doable from Cecile's home--- we did it all, and a lot more. Our pre-exchange communications with Cecile also went very well--- she is a good exchange Partner who will not disappoint you. She also took GREAT care of our home and car--- everything was well in order on our return.THANK YOU Cecile for an unforgettable and very successful exchange. We stayed in summer 2012 in the beautiful home of Gene and Carolyn. Nice area, very confortable house, beautiful garden full of flowers, grass meticulously maintained by their son - thank you Jordan - and fantastic Spa to relax after our many visits to explore the area. With their car, very confortable, we drove to the condo located in Oregon. The balcony view on the Pacific Ocean is breathtaking. And you can eat crab ... I highly recommend this place to spend an unforgettable vacation. Francine Paris - Cannes (France)
