Thank you so much for such a wonderful exchange, my husband and I are still talking about our holiday in Valencia. It was one of the best holidays we have had in years. Your house is amazing, private, spacious and incredibly clean. Having a private pool was such a luxury and really made the holiday. The temperature in August was a perfect 30 degrees, which is so pleasant when you have a pool and a shady veranda all around the house. Then in the afternoon it was always adventure time and your location is perfect for family activities. We regularly cycled through the local parks, sometimes into the local town Liria for lunch, hiked up the mountains, which are absolutely stunning or drove the 20 minutes into Valencia for some urban life. We loved the boho beach culture of Valencia city, we watched movies on the beach in the evenings, strolled the night markets, toured the city, visited the aquarium, bio zoo, art galleries, horse riding. We pretty much did everything you advised in your very smart welcome pack (I will be taking tips from that). It was a perfect family holiday and your area is completely set up to have lots of adventures with children. Piquita your house keeper became our good friend – her husband even came around and taught us how to make Paella and our children (9 and 6) made friends with the neighbour’s children and even learned some Spanish. What more can we say, your exchange offering is pretty much text book perfect for anyone with kids who want to both relax and adventure. One of my favourite memories of the holiday was eating supper outside on the veranda. Your area comes alive every night at around 9 with families dining outside, chatting, laughing. It’s so different from our culture and I loved it. Thank you so much Sheana Dublin, Ireland
We had a great home exchange experience with the Forrest family. Their house is cozy, stylish, and tastefully decorated. Its situation, in front of a park, could not have been better. Their area is very nice and safe, and the neighbors are incredibly helpful. There is a short ride on the train to Dublin city center, which is amazing and has so many interesting attractions. We were able to travel on their Range Rover around Ireland, which is a fantastic country. Specially enjoyed Powerscourt Gardens, Newgrange (amazing!), Glendloug, Rock of Cashel… and we even had time to visit Killarney, Dingle, Galway & Connemara, and so many other places. It was a perfect holiday for a family with children. In turn, the Forrest were very respectful with our house and car and found everything in perfect conditions when we arrived back home. Communicating with Sheana was a pleasure and they provided us with a very helpful welcome book. Not to forget the delicious food they had cooked when we first arrived to their house! Thank you for this successful home exchange.
Our exchange with Gisel and Antonio's and their lovely house in Valencia was our first experience of home swapping and it couldn't have gone better. Their home was beautiful and clean, in a very safe and picturesque area. Our three boys (and us) thoroughly enjoyed their glorious garden with its large swimming pool, spending long lazy afternoons safe in the knowledge that all were happily contained within it's boundaries. Valencia is a wonderful holiday destination, the zoo has got to be the best in the world. There is some thrilling architecture - The Palau de les Arts is unmissable - excellent beaches and of course, great Spanish food. In turn, Gisel and Antonio were respectful of our house and car and always a pleasure to communicate with, before, during and after our exchange.
Our first experience as home exchangers with Mark's family was fabulous. The house is wonderful, confortable and clean. It has everything a family can need. The location is very convenient to visit London and the English country side. Highgate is very nice and well connected by public transportation to the city center. London of course has so many interesting places to visit that you can never get tired of it. Everything was perfect, and our exchange partners also took good care of our house and car. Thank you for making this Exchange a success! Best wishes from Valencia.
This was our first experience of home exchanging, and what a good one! Gisel was brilliant to communicate with from the start and pointed us in the right direction for writing contracts etc and then gave us a very warm welcome to their lovely home near Valencia. Their home is lovely, spotlessly clean and tidy with comfortable beds and lots of our toys that our children loved exploring. The highlight for us was having a veranda around the whole house which meant we could really enjoy the sunny warm climate of Valencia, enjoying our meals outside, and watching the kids playing in the great garden. They also enjoyed splashing in the pool, which was still a little chilly in April as we'd been warned!! It is a nice quiet neighbourhood which is only a 25 minute drive into Valencia. Valencia was a charming city to explore with lots of exciting day trips for all the family. (The bioparc and oceanographic aquarium were particular highlights.) we also exchanged cars which was very helpful for us. They were also brilliant guests and left our house very tidy, and were very appreciative of everything. We really, really enjoyed this experience and thank you very much for a great introduction to home exchanging!
This has been a great, successful, and extraordinarily rewarding short exchange with a lovely family in London during Easter. Their house is big, stylish, and clean. It has many amenities and a fantastic design garden. The house has also many baby items, toys, and children’s’ books (all perfectly tidy and organized). The situation of the house is just ideal for visiting London and its endless attractions. A very short ride on the bus or the train takes you to the centre of the city (bus stop is only one minute walk from the house). The area is enjoyable and safe, and has some parks, many shops, and restaurants close by. We had the delight of meeting the family in person in Valencia and that was wonderful. Communicating with them was always easy. In addition, Amy and her family were very respectful with our house and car, and everything was perfect and tidy when we arrived back home. Thank you for this brilliant exchange!
Wonderful exchange! The house is charming, stylish and very clean. It has a big and ideal garden. The area is very nice and quiet. Neighbors are lovely and helpful. It is located very close to La Rochelle and Île de Re, which is fantastic and has amazing beaches. We have enjoyed very much the attractions of La Rochelle. The Aquarium was excellent! Communicating with Nathalie has been a pleasure. They took great care of our house. I think it was even cleaner when they left than before! Thank you for this fabulous exchange!
Gisel invited us to her house for dinner to meet her before we did the exchange. She has a lovely family, and her home could not be more perfect. The house is spacious, comfortable, and has all of the conveniences, from air conditioner to wifi. It is located in a residential neighborhood that has activities, a restaurant, playgrounds, and five minutes away, there are bike paths, a town park with baby ducks, and downtown Llyria. We had great food at El Olmo. We spent many hours each day in the enormous pool and relaxing on the wrap around porch. The kitchen has a clothes washing machine, microwave, and dishwasher. There are bikes and toys for all ages. Our daughter played with the neighbors, who are excellent people. The house has a large green yard with many trees. The pool is safely fenced in for children. Each room is tastefully furnished. There are big closets, spaces to work, good mattresses, movies, books, tvs, a piano, and places to put your feet up. Gisel answers emails immediately and is ultra organized and professional. She is helpful to suggest anything from gyms, restaurants, hairdressers, and summer camps. We loved the house and would definitely recommend it.
Amazing exchange! We met Adrian and his family personally a few days before the exchange started and they are a lovely family. Their apartment in NYC is very sunny, modern and it is stylishly decorated and furnished. Their daughter's room has many toys which our childrent loved to play with. The situation of this flat is excellent, it could not have been better. You can walk to a good number of the best NYC attractions and districts. The neighborhood has all the shops, restaurants, and markets you can need (and many more). Shopping in the 5th Avenue is around the corner! Chelsea is a great, trendy and save district. The High Line, Whitney Museum and Empire State Building are very close. So are Greenwich Village and the most picturesque districts of NYC. Several subway and bus stops around the corner can take you to anywhere in a very short ride. Needless to say that NYC it is spectacular: for us, the best city ever to spend a family holiday. We visited the city with our two five year old twins and we unexpectedly found it was quite child friendly. The apartment has some playgrounds close by which our kids enjoyed, especially the water attractions. Adrian and his family were very respectful with our house and car and took excellent care of them, also watering our big garden! Communication with Adrian was easy, fast, and nice before, during, and after the exchange. They provided great information to us so that we could make the most out of our holidays. I highly recommend this family and their home for an exchange! Thank you Adrian, Mary & Zoey. ================================================================ ¡Intercambio Fabuloso!
