- Maxime student (24)
Hej from Stockholm!
I am 43 years old and Norwegian but have lived in Stockholm for many years. I work as a project leader within IT for Sweden’s largest insurance company, and on my off work hours I like traveling, reading, going to the movies and doing yoga. During winter time (when it is dark and cold in Sweden) I like baking cupcakes and during summertime I spend a lot of time in my summer house in Oslo, Norway as I really like gardening. I also spend much time reading books and watching movies.
My daughter Maxime is 23 years old and live in New York City where she is studying marketing at Berkeley University. During summertime, when she is off from the university, we often travel together. Otherwise I usually travel with one or two female friends.

I have really enjoyed my visit to Stockholm and my stay in Lena's wonderful and large appartment - particularly the balcony for the "apéritifs de soirée"! The layout of the flat is superb, easyliving and very calm. Everything was ready and very clean when I arrived. Before my arrival, I was in touch with Lena. She kindly gave me information about the area, the flat, the transport...that was very helpful and particularly appreciated. I hope that other people will enjoy Lena's flat as much as me
Brigitte has a lovely apartment in a really nice bohemian part of Paris. The neighbourhood is great with lots of restaurants and the canal where you can bring your own wine and food and sit by. A great grocery shop two minutes walk away and five minutes walk to the nearest metro. The apartment was so clean when we arrived, and Brigitte has made a file with lots of tips about Paris, the neighbourhood (maps where to find everything) and instructions for the washing machine, microwave owe, climate system etc. There also is a file from all her previous exchanges which is fun to read. And on the kitchen table it was a basket with a kitchen towel from Paris as a gift to us, and some homemade jam which was delicious. She took care of my apartment in an excellent way, and left it in perfect condition. When she broke one of my cheap IKEA wine glasses she went to IKEA and got me a whole new six pack of the same glasses. This was our first home exchange, and it could not have been a better experience. We highly recommend Brigitte as an exchange partner. Regard Lena and Maxime from Stockholm, Sweden.
In Stoccola we have spent beautiful time. Our visit in Lena'apartment was been fantastic. The apartment is located in wonderful place and it is really comfortable. We hope to meet Lena when she'll come in Rome. We recommend Lena's apartment if you'll travel with your children.
We loved the apartment and the neighborhood. Monti has a lot of good restaurants and cafés and some good shopping as well and the streets and houses are really beautiful. Colosseum and Roman Forum was only a few minutes’ walk and it was walking distance to all the other major tourist attractions as well. We especially loved the Imperial Forum just around the corner, lightened at night. I stayed in the apartment with two of my girlfriend; me sleeping on the sleeper witch was as comfortable as an ordinary bed.
We stayed at Lena's apartment for 10 days in August. The location was superb, the apartment was spotless, fully equipped and extremely comfortable. The apartment is right next to a metro station and only a 20 min walk from the centre. There are also lots of supermarkets and shops close to the apartment. Lena was very helpful and provided us with a very useful information pack. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend Lena's central apartment.
Davis and Mari´s very spacious apartment was very clean and in perfect shape for our arrival. They left us a nice bottle of wine and instructions regarding the apartment. In the same building there is a supermarket, which was very convienient. The metro is close by as well. The apartment is a short walk to Ramblas and about 25 minutes’ walk to El Born, which is the most common area for tourists. To get there you walk through Raval and Gotico´s narrow streets with lots of bars and restaurant. Close to the apartment is the street Blei which was very nice, described in their profile. David and Mari, along with the children, left my apartment in Stockholm in perfect shape. I would do a swipe with them again any time. BR Lena http://www.ladiesabroad.se/search/label/Barcelona
