Looking for you, Cariocas from Copacabana Rio, for non-simultaneous exchange with our Amsterdam house along the SingelCanal, during Olympics Rio 2016!
We are a couple, 62 years of age, and have been married for 37 years. We have 3 children, who left the house years ago and all live on their own (in Amsterdam, the Hague and in Houston, Tx). Our main home is in the south of Holland where Rob works as a freelance consultant, since he retired as vice-president innovation at DSM last Januari 1st. Anna is a writer and used to own a travel agency that organised Amsterdam trips. That used to be the reason that we own an apartment in Amsterdam in the first place. But even now we don't need a place for bussiness, we love the city of Amsterdam so much, that we still love to come and stay here for a few days a week. Besides that it is a top-notch apartment for house exchange, as we get over 100 requests a year!
As Anna's used to organise trips in and around Amsterdam for her clients, you will of course benefit from this. We can provide all the knowledge about Amsterdam, tickets, information, brochures etc.!
We've completed about ten exchanges in the last two years to mutual satisfaction. All the exchangers that stayed in our house during that period of time want to come back once more, as they loved the city ánd our place. We guess that says it all!

We want to visit the Olympics in 2016. Non-simultaneous exchange with our beautiful Amsterdam house along SingelCanal!
August 5 — August 21, 2016
The exchange does not need to be simultaneously as this is our second home
We are looking for a nice place to stay during in Rio the Olympics. If you are not that much into sports yourself and you want to avoid the crowds, check out our canal-apartment in the centre of Amsterdam, also non simultaneous exchange.
We cannot say enough about the wonderful week we spent in Anna and Rob's beautiful home. It was everything we had hoped for: beautifully decorated, plenty of room, a very functional kitchen, and quiet bedrooms for sleeping after long days of sightseeing. The location could not have been better: we walked to restaurants, cafes and bars, to the grocery stores and even to the Museums downtown! And once we got used to the bikes, there was no stopping us. We explored so many wonderful neighborhoods and feel that in a short time, we really got to know this marvelous city. But perhaps the best part of all was that Anna and Rob were such wonderful hosts. The warm welcome, the baskets of treats and wine, the thoughtful maps and tourist information, plus the times they were "on call" as our personal tour guides - it was one of our very best home exchange experiences.
