We had a lovely exchange with Hedda and her family. They were kind enough to host us during our overlap time and we greatly enjoyed their hospitality. They have a very comfortable and beautiful home. The home is in a great location and we were able to walk to many places. What great memories we have of our exchange to Sweden and the wonderful family we met.

What we said about Cindi & Jeff's house:

A great Exchange! We loved Portland and especially the area where we stayed. We also appreciated the contact with the family and the way they had organized the whole thing. Very professional exchangers. We even had an opportunity to use their summer house by the sea (pictured below).

We were allowed to sleep on the greater of the island for a week in the spacious guest house. The journey by car and raft boat at sunset in the paradise of nature has given us almost speechless. If you love peace and nature, then you are correct. Here you can listen out of sheer silence even as the fish jump! The open nature and the hospitality of Hedda, and Clas J and Felix were just great. Thank you again for everything.

What we said about Nicole & Martin's house:

Chur is the perfect location if You want to ski lots of different areas. During one week we skied in Lenzerheide, Davos, Flims and Arosa. The house have everything You may need and has a great architectural design. It is newly renovated, have a perfect kitchen, wireless internet, a huge bathroom and cosy bedrooms - the master bedroom even have a wonderful mountain view. The Albisser family are really easy going and where very helpful in preparing our stay. We felt like home and that is the best testimonial we can give!

What we said about Vivien and Arild's house:

We spent a week in Vivien and Arilds house around x-mas 2012. We had a great time! The house is enormous, but it really did not matter much since we spent almost all time outside anyhow - the terrace surrounded by a big lovely garden is where we lived our life when being in the house. There are two big pools within walking distance, one is beautifully located by the river that runs 200 meters from the house. The taxi ride into the central areas of Saigon is about 10-15 minutes and very cheap. Our hosts had prepared all sorts of information so we could just relax and do plenty of exciting things in this first (but not last) meeting with Vietnam. We where also spoiled by the live-in housekeeper Hien who is a great cook and do awesome apple cakes:) In short: A perfect exchange!

Excellent exchange experience. Lovely family. We found them very open and helpful during planning; and excellent hosts when our itineraries overlapped. We felt very lucky to have such wonderful exchange partners. Their home is spacious and easy to settle into. Lots of interest for our children to do and read. We felt safe yet very much in the heart of a wonderful city. We greatly enjoyed the neighborhood and ease of walking to all parts of central Stockholm. We also enjoyed their country cottage and surrounding area. Their excellent English was a great help during planning. They are a true family of world travellers. Our best exchange so far!

We visited Hedda and Claus' home in the month of August with our three children. The house is in a beautiful residential section of Stockholm. The house is VERY comfortable. Hedda and Felix welcomed us with open arms and gave us the info we needed to head out and explore. A perfect destination for a family- a couple- or a single person. IDEAL central location... We felt like it was OUR home... We wish we could go back!!

This was the idyllic Greek island experience. The little house was picture postcard perfect with an enormous terrace that wrapped around and overlooked the ocean. Being October the fishing village was tranquil and free of tourists. But there were still lots of restaurants lining the waterfront just a short walk over the hill from the house. Jimmy was so helpful, a great source of information and nothing was too much trouble for him. He told us about getting a boat to Moni Island, a highlight. The village was easy to get to but sufficiently isolated to still maintain the genuine fishing village atmosphere, Thank you Clas. It goes up there among the best of our exchange experiences.

What a great experience ! This home-exchange was the perfect one... The house is wonderful, the location couldn't be better and Stockholm is one of the best cities in the world to visit. The neighbourhood feels very pleasant and safe, we had everything (bus- and trainstation, supermarket, musea, parks, and all places of interest at walking distance. The house is very comfortable & cosy, with lots of books, modern and tribal art and even bicycles to use. The owners did everything to make our stay a succes ! We had a wonderful week in Sweden...Hedda & Clas: thank you sooo much !

This was our first exchange which we did as a non-simultaneous exchange from Taos to Aegina, Greece. The homeowner made this a simple and straightforward process and we got everything planned in advance. When we arrived, it was seamless from having someone meet us at the port and take us to the home itself (beautiful!) and also giving advice on things to do, where to eat and visit and how to line up a rental car, etc. Our experience was incredible! The home itself was perfect for our family of 3 and the views and location were perfect. We were able to explore the town, meet locals and experience the food and culture. We loved exploring the island and the markets and more. The house itself was just perfect for a getaway - the outdoor living space is large and peaceful, the kitchen was just right for some cooking during our trip and the bedrooms were on a different level, so it made it nice for our son to get to sleep if we weren't ready yet without waking him. Also led itself to sleeping in if so desired while rest of family could get on with the day! We loved the outdoor showers and the garden, while it was not in season for most of the wonderful herbs and fruits, I can imagine when it is, being able to pick pomegranates and lemons and more! Our exchange made us want to do this again here or elsewhere based on our friendly dialogue by email of the homeowner as well as the ease of setup and stay. We are now big fans! Thanks home exchange, Valerie & Chris Taos, New Mexico

This summer we have spent 3 wonderful days in the house of Clas, Hedda and Felix. The experience was amazing. Those were the best 3 days we spent in Sweden. They own this fantastic Island in the middle of the lake Malaren, the house is beautiful, comfortable and tasteful but what we liked most it was their company. They came to pick us up at the border of the lake with a boat, they invited the 4 of us to dine together every night and it was really nice to spend our time together with them. Our children Brando and Arturo enjoyed the company of their son Felix and everything was so unexpected... They let us use their boat and we felt like we were in our own home. They cooked very special Sweden meals, including crayfish... What we could say more: I think that if we were on our own on the same island the experience would not be so good! Thank you Clas, Hedda and Felix.

What we said about vanessa's house:

Vanessa and Andreas apartment is perfectly situated in Rome. Just outside the most extreme tourist areas but within very easy walking distance. The apartment is comfortable and Vanessa and Andrea are the perfect hosts. They have even written a book on home exchange so they know how to make everything work in the best possible way!

Linda from Mackay, Australia said

We arrived on Aegina in early August 2011. It was peak season and Aegina was busy. We met your agent Jimmy who drove us to the house. It was quiet, peaceful and the ocean was a glorious colour and it was just over the railing. Instant relaxation. We loved the swimming and your wonderful verandah. We lived on the verandah, and our friends Jean and Denise slept there some nights. We all liked the outdoor shower and basin. You really could live very comfortably outside the house, with a quick trip inside for food and refreshments. Other highlights were walking to your local shops, trying to understand some of the products on the shelves, and communicating with the shop keepers. It was an opportunity to immerse ourselves in your neighbourhood, see how the locals live and meet them. It was a very authentic Greek experience. Catching the bus to Aegina town was also a very "local" experience which we enjoyed. Thank you. Craig and Linda Fraser. Mackay. Queensland. Australia.

What we said about Linda's house:

We stayed in Mackay for a week and had a fantastic time. Craig & Linda made the stay very easy for us. The house is both lovely decorated and very well equipped with everything you can need.

We had a wonderful time at "The Edge" in early June. Peridika is a quiet fishing village away from the tourist crowds; just what we were looking for to relax after a hectic tour of Turkey and Greece. The swimming at the edge was glorious, and the day trip over to Moni Island by the sea taxi was lovely and great for snorkelling. It felt like we were living in an authentic Greek village and the local folk were very pleasant. The bakery was the best for baklava and other Greek pastries and the supermarket was just up the street for all our other needs. The house itself was perfect and very much as you see in Clas's pictures. The view is stunning especially at sunset. We spent all our time on the deck and had all our showers at the outdoor shower which was great. I liked the simplicity of the interior of the house which had everything you needed to relax and be comfortable. There is even a fireplace although we did not need it with the warm June winds! Thank you Clas and Hedda for a great stay at the Edge and for helping us to discover another island in Greece. ps. We rented a scooter for the day and travelled around the island to see the other beaches and the historic temples and monastaries which is a must do! The island is easy to get around. Thanks also to Jimmy for the transport to and from Aegina town.
