We are Robyn and Jill, Australians who love to travel both at home and internationally. We are no longer working full time in our business, instead spending more time with friends, family and discovering more about our own country and the rest of the world.
September 1 — November 30, 2016 These dates are flexible
We're planning a trip to UK in September & November 2016, looking for a number of different, week long stays. We're particularly interested in Devon, Cornwall, Cotswolds, Kent, Ireland, We love non-simultaneous exchanges because that means we can meet you face to face, but we will also consider simultaneous exchanges.
We are travellers rather than tourists and we love meeting people and learning about where they live. We are explorers with adventurous spirits and interested in almost everything ... except maybe heavy metal rock bands!!!
We have just come back from a weeks simultaneous exchange with Rob and Jill from Rosedale in the heart of the Barossa Valley in south australia at their farm "Creeve Roe" Their property is perfect. It is a quiet haven on 40 acres in a great location to all of the wineries the region has to offer. The large home is just lovely: immaculately clean, beautifully furnished , wonderful private countryside outlook : a truly enjoyable home to stay in. If you wish to be in the heart of all the activities that a city has to offer this may not be the place-although you are an easy day trip to Adelaide or the Adelaide Hills etc. However , if you are wanting peace and solittude in a fabulous wine region- or just to base yourself here to discover the areas surrounding Adelaide- then this is ideal. Making arrangements for the exchange has been a pleasure and all arrangements for car swaps, keys etc have all gone smoothly. On our return, we found our home had been left in perfect condition . If you are lucky enough to be able to exchange here, we would highly recommend it.. A very successful exchange within Aus!
Just had a marvelous simultaneous exchange with Vicki and Allan. Their home at the edge of the rain forest at Buderim was gorgeous - it's large, light and airy with wonderful views from every window and a generous deck that provides a range of outdoor dining and seating options. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated and we felt immediately at home. Rest and relaxation came easily with the only decisions required being to choose between a good sound system, or any of the several TVs, or sunbathing and a swim in the pool. Vicki and Allan were very easy to deal with and very helpful. We did an exchange which also included a car exchange and we could not have asked for a better experience. You can't go wrong doing an exchange with Vicki and Allan.
Creeve Roe in Barossa Valley is a great place to be. A wonderful house in a beautiful setting with the greatest view ever. You have to like a bit remote place but when you do, you'll have the best time you can get. The best of Barossa are the wineries and the most important are all around the corner. The house itself is a wide place with beautiful furniture and art which made us feel home right away. We love to come back and sip a wine on a chair looking at the sunset. Robyn and Jill are lovely people, very friendly and helpful. We count them as friends. George and Mieke
This was a wonderful exchange. The house was very comfortable and tastefully decorated with all mod cons. It is ideally located for transport and easily within reach of many interesting places to visit. George and Mieke are seasoned exchangwers and could not be more helpful, generous or friendly. We feel very privileged to now count them as friends. They have stayed twice now at Creeve Roe #204383 and on each occasion have left the house and car in excellent condition. We would welcome them back at any time. Robyn and Jill
Set overlooking 40 acres, Creeve Roe is a modern and extremely comfortable farm house with views to die for. Our stay coincided with very cold weather but we were warmed by an roaring log fire. To get in some exercise we rugged up and strolled around the property enjoying the tranquility of the wind swept hills, a meandering brook and some seriously large kangaroos. The house has all the mod cons anyone could want. Every room has its own individual view through huge windows that let in the light. Lots of shade under the wide verandas. The setting sun in the evenings were particularly memorable. The modern kitchen was large and spacious with everything you need to cook up a storm or simply create a candlelit dinner for two. The nearest town, Tanunda, boasts every modern convenience including some great restaurants and a wide array of speciality shops - something that Heather particularly enjoyed. We were privileged to be able to stay in Creeve Roe for 7 nights and would recommend the house to anyone wanting to have the best of two worlds - a truly delightful holiday location in its own right and also a fabulous base from which to explore the wonderful Barossa Valley wine growing area. Highly recommended. Siggy and Heather.
