Hello from Seattle Area
We are two retired parents and one current MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) student who will be staying in Darwin from October 1 through 18. We may have another student, Rose, staying October 12-18.
On October 18 the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge begins and the MIT team, along with teams from around the world, will drive their solar cars to Adelaide. It is a very exciting event, perhaps you have seen it in the past. We will be accompanying the team to Adelaide as the chuck wagon drivers.
We have a three bedroom house in Edmonds, which is 10 miles north of Seattle. It is a cute small town on the Puget Sound with ferries to the islands and Olympic Peninsula. It has a wonderful downtown, a vibrant arts community, and many outdoor activities. It also is very convenient to downtown Seattle. There is a great commuter train that goes from Edmonds to Seattle (during commute hours) and there are easy travel options with Uber and Lyft providing reasonable rides all over the area.
We only need to stay in Darwin from October 1 - 18. But our home is available for you to stay for all of October if you want.
October 1 — October 18, 2015 These dates are flexible
A simultaneous exchange is preferred. But guests can stay in our Edmonds home longer than we will be staying in Darwin. Our home is available from late September to November 1
