We had a wonderful stay in Freda's and Steve's home ...

Sybil from Gent said

We had a wonderful stay in Freda's and Steve's home end of May 2013. The house has been recently renovated and has all modern amenities. Space was maximized and the house has lots of light and a small but sunny garden. The kitchen is very well equiped and you can get inspiration from a whole range of cookery books. If you don't go out to one of the nice restaurants they recommend you in their favourites list. They were also very helpful with other information on buses, markets, etc. Nice bathroom with walk in rain shower and another bathroom with a tub. The wooden floors on the stairs and in the master bedroom give it a warm feel - and the beds are good ! Wandsworth is on the Northern line and well connected to St Pancras International. And London is...London : there are always 1001 things to do, so no time to get bored.

What we said about Sybil's house:

The house of Sybil and Kurt is in Ghent, 30 minutes on the Intercity (IC) train from Brussels Eurostar station. The house, which faces the water on both front and back, was amazing - the penthhouse stunning; the kitchen has become our dream; the garden - how we wish we had similarly green fingers. And not to forget the smaller things - the fishes, the guinea pig, the swing, and the roomba! Shame that the weather only brightened up on our day of departure. It has so many great features that have now become our inspirations for the next house to renovate/build. Sybil was a great host. She prepared notes on the area, house and was always one step ahead of me with regards of my planning of our trip. She had some dinner prepared for us so we didn't have to worry about sourcing food upon our arrival that late afternoon. The English-speaking babysitter lives just 2 doors from the house so finishing late was not an issue for her. So in summary we enjoyed our first swap in Ghent very much. Thank you very much Sybil and Kurt!
