Welcome in Arnhem, city of "a bridge too far", nature and culture, history and present.
We are George and Mieke, a couple in our sixties. We are married for over 40 years and live in this house for over 30 years. We both have a college education and have been working as business consultant (George) and communication consultant (Mieke) till shortly. We lived in Austin, Texas for about two years and still love the place like we love Arnhem.
We love traveling and want to explore new parts of the world through exchanging homes. We love nature and culture, we want to hike and sight-see, visit museums, listen to live music and enjoy the good food live.

When the sea is near, we are happy
Wow, what a lovely comfortable and modern house and what a simply delightful couple to exchange with. We are now great friends. The location of the house is perfect. So many things to see and do within a short distance. Despite the freezing weather we had many local attractions all around us to choose to see. We swapped cars which made life easier. We even got to see a first division football match where the local Arnhem team won - a special highlight. History, culture and good old fashioned hospitality - its all here. Because our swap was not simultaneous we got picked up at the airport and driven to our swap house which was very convenient. Thank you George and Mieke for making our stay so very memorable. Go Vitesse!!!
Hi Siggy and Heather, We have been in your house a week in 2012 and we love the house as well as the place where it's build. Beautiful view. We were happy to return after a busy day either on the Gold Coast or in the hinterland. Tambourine mountains is a must go. We'd love to be back again to enjoy your place to feel like home. George and Mieke
This was a wonderful exchange. The house was very comfortable and tastefully decorated with all mod cons. It is ideally located for transport and easily within reach of many interesting places to visit. George and Mieke are seasoned exchangwers and could not be more helpful, generous or friendly. We feel very privileged to now count them as friends. They have stayed twice now at Creeve Roe #204383 and on each occasion have left the house and car in excellent condition. We would welcome them back at any time. Robyn and Jill
Creeve Roe in Barossa Valley is a great place to be. A wonderful house in a beautiful setting with the greatest view ever. You have to like a bit remote place but when you do, you'll have the best time you can get. The best of Barossa are the wineries and the most important are all around the corner. The house itself is a wide place with beautiful furniture and art which made us feel home right away. We love to come back and sip a wine on a chair looking at the sunset. Robyn and Jill are lovely people, very friendly and helpful. We count them as friends. George and Mieke
This was a wonderful home to stay in and I totally enjoyed this area of the Netherlands. I got to be friends with the neighbor next door and visited a number of surrounding castles near Arnhem. The weather was wonderful with beautiful early spring flowers! A wonderful location to travel about and a quiet, friendly neighborhood. There were walking trails, plenty of shopping and I was close to the country; a wonderful and restful time was experienced. For my first home exchange, it was wonderful! Cindy Foreman
We had a great time in Manly at the house of Catherine. Of course Sydney is great and easy to reach with the ferry but Manly has it within walking distance. We loved the time and found a friend for a lifetime
