We are a familiy of seven members which means Martin (52) , Jasmin (53) , Fiona (17) , Moritz (15) , Oliver (14) , Max, Kleopatra (cats) and Folly (dog) . But we would be travelling without the animals of course. Folly will be on holidays as well and Max and Kleopatra would appreciate someone giving them their food. Martin works at the University in Winterthur and I work for a bookshop in Zurich. We love travelling and meeting other people.
We had a great e house-exchange with the family Weirauch. The contact with them was very nice and appointments were made quickly. It is great that this family have two homes to offer. Our preference was to the mountain farm because it is a unique place. We enjoyed the intense atmosphere of the house and has beautiful panoramic views of the Alps and mountains. From there we have a lot done. With the cable car and mountain train we were quickly on our way to beautiful walks. Shops and swimming pools on a short distance. Our children have deeply enjoyed our holiday Suisse, they enjoy to be close to nature. Looking for beautiful stones. Martin and Jasmine, thanks for the swap with us. We felt almost home in your houses. We look back on a fantastic holiday 2010
Our Homeexchange with the den Bakker family was a big success. The whole family enjoyed the countryside of the Netherland. Either we took rides on the bicycles like the eight castles tour or made other trips near by. There is an Openair museum, the Dolfinarium or even Amsterdam is not far away. Certainly a lot to see and to do. The house is a typical dutch style villa with a beautiful garden. So we also stayed "home" and enjoyed the landscape around us. Molly is a very friendly dog and got on well with our own dog. Hans, Anja and the kids made us very welcome at their home and we highly recommend a holiday at their place.
