What a fantastic exchange! Our family of 4 had a truly wonderful holiday in Washington, DC at this fabulous home. Despite the summer heat we explored a huge variety of museums, monuments and neighborhoods. Heat was really not a problem as the pool was a welcome pay-off at the end of each day. We were within easy walk of the metro, bus and, right in front of the building, a Capital Ride Share bike depot. Grocery stores and restaurants are a quick stroll away. The condo is bright, impeccably clean and fully equipped. Our home was spotless on our return. We can't believe our luck in experiencing the "perfect" home exchange scenario.

What we said about Heidi's house:

We enjoyed an 11 day exchange with Degenstein family in July 2012. Their home is a great location to enjoy the city of Vancouver. We enjoyed kayaking a few miles from their home, hiking in beautiful local parks, and the house provides easy access to the highway to the amazing mountains near Whistler. The city of Vancouver is also amazing, with spectacular parks and beaches, and extremely interesting and diverse neighborhoods with excellent coffee shops and restaurants. The Degenstein home is beautiful, very clean and comfortable to enjoy some down time. When we returned home we found our condo was just as we left it. We highly recommend an exchange with the Degensteins, they were wonderful exchange partners.

My husband and I recently spent a week in Jim and Diane's beautiful apartment in DC, on our first home exchange. The condo is luxurious, bright and airey and light filled, from the many floor to ceiling windows in all of the rooms. The furniture, appliances, fixtures etc are all modern and of high quality, creating a warm, very comfortable and welcoming environment in which to enjoy this wonderful city. The metro is about a 10 minute walk from the apartment, and the bus into Georgetown and downtown DC, was literally outside the front door of the building. There are several restaurants and cafes, as well as a grocery very close to the condo, and we found many others, including a great Whole Foods store, and other shopping less than 2 miles away. We had a wonderful time exploring DC, and it was an absolute pleasure working with Jim on this exchange. He responded quickly to all of our emails and phone calls, and they left us numerous maps and guides to help us find our way around the city...(Not to mention a gift bag of goodies to enjoy.) On our return home, we found our house in perfect condition, and a lovely note from Jim and Diane. If you are lucky enough to get an exchange with this couple, jump at it, you will not be disappointed. With many thanks and our very best wishes, Claudette & Mike, Asheville NC.

What we said about Claudette and Mike's house:

We enjoyed a one-week 'spring break' exchange with the Wren family in April 2012. Their home is in a great location to enjoy the city of Asheville and the surrounding spectacular mountains. The Wren home is beautiful, very clean, and extremely comfortable to enjoy some down time on the expansive front porch or back deck. The Wren's left us some wonderful suggestions for restaurants and even encouraged us to take their hiking books with us on the trails. When we returned back home we found our condo to be just as we left it along with a beautiful Easter Lily from the Wren's. We highly recommend an exchange with the Wren's they are wonderful exchange partners.
