We spent a lovely week in this house in February 2012 and we used it as a base to discover parts of central London. Although we did not spend that much time in the house during the day, when we were there we found it to be very comfortable and very well-equipped. Ideally, there is free on-street parking available right outside the house and it is just a five minute walk to the nearest train station (St James Street); from there you can use the rail / underground network and within 30-40 minutes you can be right in the heart of central London. In addition to the above the family were very easy to deal with and they did a great job of looking after our home! We would like to wish Catherine, Chris and their children all the very best for the future and to thank them once again for giving us a great home exchange and memorable experience. Kind regards, Dean, Katie and Phoebe x
We had a lovely week. This is a beautiful part of England with lots to do. The house is great and Dean was very easy to contact and reliable. His family looked after our house very well. We would love to exchange again!
We strongly recommend Catherine's offer . The house is pleasant and well located for visiting London (access via train in 15 minutes). Although we have not been able to meet us ( simultaneous exchange ) our relationship were friendly and very fruitful. Catherine's advices and help have made our stay comfortable. We will keep a wonderful memory of this Weeks in the British capital . Florence and Bruno
We had a fantastic time in tours. The house is beautiful. Tours is a lovely city. We visited stunning chateaus. Florence and Bruno were very kind.
Our 3rd exchange was with the Selwyn family in London. It started with a remarkable exchange of our house keys at Dunkirk harbour without meeting the family but with the help a very friendly harbour agent. The house is such a typically English one in a typically English street. The center of London is quite far but you can take a doubledecker bus or the train, which takes you in 15 minutes to central London. We saw lots of nice things in the area and went into one of the many musea when the weather was typically British. The Indian take away near the railway station was just gorgeous. At the end of our holidays, we met the Selwyns in Bruges/Belgium on our way home! Had dinner together and in between the kids started playing cards, no need to understand eachother's language. A wonderful experience, again!
We had a fantastic exchange. The house is great, in a perfect location for families. Transport is easy to the centre. We also loved exploring the local countryside in the car. Jacqueline and Jeroen left some great recommendations. They are a lovely family.
