We love visiting new places, meeting people and experiencing the culture. We have many interests - history and art museums, trying new foods or just walking around. We are very active - going to the gym, walking and biking. At our lake home, we love to canoe and kayak.
Bev and Ralph have a real gem of a second home overlooking Lake Jackson. They did a great job of renovating this cabin, and it has all the amenities to make for a very comfortable vacation stay. Our home was very tidy upon our return-- I highly recommend them as great home exchangers!
Beverly and Ralph’s cottage hideaway near Manassas is immaculate and efficiently set out, yet cosy and comfortable. The serene views of the lake from the front room create a wonderful place to relax, read and enjoy the natural beauty of this spot. The cottage is well-appointed and easy to look after. They have thought of everything and the information that they provided made our stay so easy. The area around Manassas is a great place to visit and explore. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage and are looking forward to having Bev and Ralph visit us in Australia soon.¬¬¬¬¬¬
Beverly and Ralph are such kind people, and funny! They stayed in our house in June 2013. The first evening they invited us for diner in Haarlem, we had a wonderful evening. After that they visit us on the campingsite where we stayed during that time. The last evening for Beverly and Ralph went home we had a last meeting, drink coffee and wine. They are the best exchangers you can imagine. Our house was as we left it, clean and tidy. They look after our birds and chickens, spoil them with cheese and all kind of other treats. They look after our garden, and plants as we do it ourselves. We are looking forward to stay in their house in Virginia one of the coming years. Beverly and Ralph became more then exchangers, they are our overseas new friends.
We had a very lovely and relaxing stay at Bev & Ralph's lake cottage. It was just what we needed for a relaxing get-away from DC. Only a hour from the city, we found a place to completely disconnect. We spent the weekend laying on a small floating dock at the house, swimming in the river (it's technically a lake, but it more closely resembles a river in shape, but without any current), and doing puzzles in the living room. Bev was very helpful leading up to the exchange and provided access to their kayaks, canoe, fishing poles, and everything else one could need to enjoy a weekend on the water. Thanks for a great exchange!
