We had a great time at the Beach! Wonderful home and neighborhood. Our kids felt like they were at home in this wonderful beach house and had a great time playing with the neighborhood kids. Great location- we love and miss the beach.

What we said about kathleen's house:

We had a great non-simultaneous exchange to their Grand Lake cabin in August 2006. The cabin is perfectly situated, a short walk into town and the lake, and very convenient to some great hiking and of course, Rocky Mountain National Park is about 10 minut

We thoroughly enjoyed being in this lovely, comfortable home in this oasis of livable luxury. Outdoor people that we are, we especially loved lounging and eating on the patio in the company of hummingbirds, Mr. and Mrs. Mallard, and even a friendly roadrunner. Our exchange partners made our experience very memorable and we are hoping they will want to exchange again so we can return here. There are still many great hiking, swimming and eating choices we couldn't get to this time around.

My family and I (couple in 40s and kids 9 and 11) had a fantastic stay at this lovely home in Palm Desert. The house is beautifully done, immaculate and is very well-stocked - kitchen has everything that you need. House has very high ceilings and is full of light and sliding glass doors bring you out to patio with great grill, dining table and view of golf course. Bedroom and bathrooms are spacious and private. The location is great - there's a pool and hot tub across the street that is well-kept and very handy after the kids have been running around. You are a 5 minute golf cart ride to the main health club/golf club facility which is amazing - incredible tennis facility with about a dozen beautifully maintained courts(we are tennis players and swimmers). There are three pools - one four lane 25 yard pool which is great although a bit warm (82ish) for a serious work-out and then a couple smaller pools for splashing around. The health club facility is great - great gym, classes, hot tub, cold pool, sauna, steam and all in great shape. Palm Desert is about 40 minutes drive to main entrance of Joshua Tree National Park which is spectacular. It also has nice restaurants (try Piero's which has very authentic neapolitan pizzas and Daily Grill). Palm Springs is about 20 minutes away and has some great restaurants and shopping also. The aerial tram is a kick - definitely worth checking out. Most importantly the host was incredibly conscientious and had mailed us the keys and suggestions of things to do in the area, and made us feel very much at home - wine and chocolates waiting for us upon arrival, and was available for a call when I had trouble lighting a grill (user error... :). Would very highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Ed and Terry's, and you could not ask for a better location - just a few steps to beautiful Hermosa beach, with no cars between their home and the sand! This is the best way to experience the ocean, and there is a wonderful path that you can jog on next to the crashing waves. We ran several times up to Manhattan Beach, and loved going out on the piers where you will see the sun slowly slide into the Pacific while the pelicans glide by. Their home is spacious, beautifully decorated, clean, clutter-free, and has all the best appliances and perks you could hope for during your stay. Best of all, Ed and Terry are fantastic people, we loved meeting them! Thank you:)

What we said about Jean's house:

We had a great stay at Jean Loup and Jecca's. Although there is a chef's kitchen we ate out every night as there are so many great restaurants within walking distance. This place is a great way to experience NYC and a wonderful place for a couple. Everything is neat, clean and clutter free, which we really appreciated. They also took wonderful care of our place. I hope we can exchange with them again and would not hesitate to do so. Side note: When we were in NYC it was 20 degrees F!! They had 80 degree weather in California!! The cold weather was actually quite fun and we really felt like locals staying at their place.
