Peggy and Bill have a home is Cedar Key as shown in our listing #145213. Peggy's from Nova Scotia, Canada and Bill from Cedar Key. Bill retired from the US Air Force and recently as owner of a aquaculture company and Peggy from teaching. We have lived in Asia, Europe, Canada several states and we still love to visit places that we have not been. We have found that Home Exchange is a great way to go. We also have another beautiful waterfront trust house (listing #149079) that we use for exchanges when our home is not available. We look forward to sharing our home or the trust house with people who would like to experience this unique historic island. The island was featured in the June 2012 Southern Living Magazine. We are open to simultaneous and non-simultaneous exchanges. The first couple that exchanged using the trust house were on their 15th exchange to places all over the world - they loved Cedar Key and the house.
We timed our visit to Cedar Key to coincide with their annual seafood festival as well as the opening of stone crab season. What a great time to go. Cedar Key is definitely off the beaten path, and that's a good thing. It's a quaint, laid back, historic coastal community with beautiful sunsets and great food. And, oh, the clams...well, that's a story of its own. I even got in a couple of scuba dives at Paradise Springs near Ocala. Peg and Bill have two terrific waterfront properties in Cedar Key; we stayed at "Cloud 9" and just had stellar week. They even took us out on their boat to go shelling on nearby island. We can't recommend these exchange partners highly enough! Another great, successful home swap.
