We spent a delightful week in late October 2012 in Andrea and Thorsten's home. Their modern house is in a residential area, with a supermarket in walking distance. It is spacious and nicely furnished; the dining area and living rooms have a nice view into their garden, and we enjoyed the closed fireplace. Our daughter loved to play with their two gentle cats. We found everything we needed, and more -- although this was their first exchange, Andrea and Thorsten thought of everything we might need; they even prepared sweets for kids on Halloween! We followed one of the trip suggestions in their specially prepared folder, and made a beautiful walk along a river in the nearby "Altes Land". Moreover, Hamburg (a 30-45 minute drive away) had lots to see and do -- we didn't really have time to explore enough. Communication with Andrea and Thorsten was always excellent, making our visit easy to plan, and easy when we were there. Their family treated our house with a lot of respect and care, too. Overall, we heartily recommend this exchange! And many thanks Andrea and Thorsten!

What we said about Benno and Petra's house:

It was our first experience with homeexchange and it was a great experience. We really felt home " in Paris " from the moment we arrived at Gare de l'Est. Benno told us (we're a family of 5) how to get to their home by metro/RER and it was easy going. Our kids enjoyed the way from the house to the RER station and travelling with the Metro. The hospitality was great. Our kids felt home in "their" rooms, and we too. To take care for the two cats was easy, they're really friendly. We travelled to all sights and tourists points by RER/metro, it was a great experience, and special at the rush hour. After arriving home, it's sure, we will do homeexchange again. Thank you, Benno and Petra, for our wonderful week in Paris

What we said about Grit's house:

It was our 6th trip to Berlin, but the first by homeswap and it was wonderfull. The home of Grit and her family is very nice and cosy, central but quit. You have got an easy connection to all places in Berlin, within a short walking distance to the tube. Nearby you have some bakerys, supermarket(also an organic supermarket) and different restaurants(our favourite: the Thai restaurant directly opposite of the flat). We (family with 2 children)have felt very comfortable in "our" home. Thanks a lot for the exchangeto Grit and her family.

We had a very succesfull homeexchange with Thorsten and Andrea. For other who will like to swap wiht this family: They leaved us a clean and comfortable home, and we enjoyed being there. Everything was ready for us, and we felt very welcome. They had two cats, and our son was cuddeling a lot with his favoritecat:-) It was easy to take care of them. The family had also maked a list with different suggestions to trips, and there was a map with brocures, and so on - Really great and usefull. We are an active family, so we enjoyed to go in the beautifull autumwood in Buxtehude. It is very easy to take the train to Hamburg, where our favorite was Miniature Wunderland and the beautifull Planten und blomen-park, but also a walk around the lake in Hamborg are great. shopping and restaurants was also visited. In Buxtehude we got tickets to a handball-game - It was fun to feel the atmosphere. Thorsten and Andrea had taken really good care of our home in Denmark. and leaved it clean and wel.. We will give the family our very good recommends. Randi, Sune and Søren Timm Simonsen, Ferslev, Denmark

What we said about Adina & Patrik's house:

We spent wonderful two weeks in the house from Adina and her Family during July 2013. You will find everything in the house that you need. There was a folder with a lot of Informations and ideas what to do in Kristinehamn and the surroundings. Very individual is the cinema room in the basement we spent a few nice evenings there always after long discussions which film we should watch because Adinas family has a lot of films to watch. It was a special experience. We enjoyed the Swedish nature and we made a lot of walks in the forests, where you find lot of walking trails. When the weather was good we took our swimsuits and went to our favourite bath place at the lake Hult a 15 min. drive from the house. Every evening the kids went in the pool and we enjoyed the strawberries and blueberries from the garden. Thanks to Adina and her family to made the exchange with us. Andrea, Thorsten, Lea and Jannes

What we said about Karin's house:

Thank you for this great exchange! Vienna really is a beautiful city with a lot to see. The flat is very comfortable, the old town houses really appealed to us, and we could easily reach the town center by foot and as there are two tram stations nearby, also further destinations. Despite this the flat is rather quiet at night. In the neighbourhood we found a lot of good restaurants and everything else we needed. Karin and her family welcomed us very warmly and we enjoyed our stay very much.

The cats are very friendly and love human-contact. We will without no doubt recommend an exchange with Andrea and Thorsten, who are friendly hosts and take very good care of your place too.
